This is a nice bike lock with good length, a nice combo lock, and is offered in several colors. It also comes with a mount. The 6 foot length is necessary to secure the bike as needed. The plastic-covered cable feels substantial yet flexible enough to secure the frame and front wheel to an anchor point. The security code on the combo lock is easy to change. The included mount assembly seems to work well, but if the tube diameter is too large, the mount may not be able to be used. The cable is easy to attach and remove from the mount assy. The mount has a rubber gasket to help hold the mount securely. The Mount... I bought two locks--one green, one black for two different bikes and was unable to attach either mount to the seat post as shown on the website. If the tube diameter that you want to use to attach the mount is too big, the holes to thread the screws to secure the mount may not align. I attached the mount to the handlebar on one bike and the frame on the other bike which was almost too large but I got it to work. I'm not sure if the description mentions the diameter the mount assembly can be attached to or not. This info should be added so that buyers understand that there is a limitation. As far as colors, the green is OK--just not my style (my wife was OK with it), but you can't go wrong with the black. I would recommend buying this lock even if the mount didn't work. The price was fair and the cable can always be wrapped around the seat post if the mount cannot be attached. If the mount can be used, it can be really nice. I was tempted to give 4 stars because of the mount but it worked on my bikes so 5 stars it is.

Simply to use, not to heavy, good deterrent of a bike lock. Lets not kid outselves, this is clearly not the most secure bike lock out there, but if you are looking at locks like this, then that is also clearly not your main concern. I bought this mainly to serve as a deterrent to pesky opportunists, aka thieves. i live in a pretty small town, which is also quite safe, with a large biking community, so most people respect eachothers property. but kids will get tempted and adults as well. With a high tourist population during the summer riding months there are times when any time of lock will suffice as a deterrent. i chose this one because its a number lock, that the user can set and therefore remember. i didnt want to carry more keys than i need to, espectially for something i wont need to lock everyday, or have to remember to bring on the days when i do. but seeing that a bike is locked is ussually enough to send most opportunists away. yes, if someone brought bolt cutter this would probably melt away like butter, so if youre looking for more securely, i'd start to look into a u-lock. the curls on this let me carry the lock right on the bike. i generally let it wrap itself around the top tube and handle bars, which neither interferes with the streering, my knees, or any other part or usage of the bike. it came with an attachment for the lock, but it was too small for the tubes on my bike, which is a gravel grinder. i dont find my tubes to be a particularly odd shape, or especially large in size, so i would warn users there is a good chance it wont work for you either. but as i explained, you'll be able to figure out how to wrap it so it wont be in the way. its also fully rubber expect that actually combination lock so it wont damage the pretty shine of your bike. overall, cheap, easy, does the job im requesting of it

after several months of normal use, the tumbler all of a sudden stopped working and left me stranded after watching a movie. I had to use bolt cutters to get the lock off. I would not recommend this lock to anyone as it might randomly stop working for you and leave you stranded. specifically the least significant digit tumblr, of the four the one on the far right, stopped clicking and despite every trick that I tried simply would not work. if you get the cheapest one available this is what happens

I bought this not even a full year ago. After a few months the 1st lock messed up and would not unlock because it reset itself. Today, the 2nd lock did the same thing. Thankfully I was able to call a local bike shop and had proof the bike was mine. They were able to use an electric saw to cut off the lock. Pros: *easy to set up (too easy) *secure (they had to use a saw blade to cut through it bolt cutters did not work. Cons: *resets itself entirely too easy.

The overall quality of this cable lock is fantastic. The coating appears to be very durable and the diameter of the cable strikes the perfect balance between that nice, reassuring feeling when leaving my bike locked up somewhere, yet still having a nice, compact footprint when not in use. It is much less bulky than the Etonic M8 cable lock, yet feels much more secure than the M4. The ability to set your own combination is a huge benefit, and allows me to not need to memorize yet another random number. The mounting bracket is simple but works well on my Kona Dew, and securely holds the lock in place. Overall I highly recommend this lock if you need something 6' long and want a quality cable. It wont stop any real thief. I use it to lock my motorcycle cover when I park my bike outside, since covers are 100$+. The bright color tells people some security measures have been taken too. The combination works well and the whole thing is sturdy though it would die to any powertool

One of the best features for this lock is the ability to easily set your own 4-digit combination by simply turning the customize dial, picking your preferred combination, then turning the dial back. Another thoughtful feature is the holster that attaches to the bike frame, which allows holds the cable via a quick slip on/off motion. The cable is thick and has a smooth plasti-dip coating. It's long enough to string across two bikes if you're biking with a companion or across multiple parts of the frame/wheel on a single bike. The only negative I can see with this cable is the combination dials are a hard plastic, but plastic nonetheless so it may not last as long as ones with metal dials. However, at this price it's easy to forgive.

These are great quality - very strong, not something a pair of pliers could cut through. The lock mechanism seems impermeable to rain, and is not flimsy. The length is good for a bike, but we will be using to secure some Pavement stands to a bike rack! They come well packaged, and have many different uses. Not like the cheap ones you can get around town.
