The Independent Woman's Handbook for Super Safe Living on the Autistic Spectrum

This book seems great except for the fact that there is an incorrect Editorial Review that is posted in the listing. It specifically says "Packed with "autism alert cards" and references that will prove key to the safety of any woman struggling with autism and independence. Author: The Midwest Book Review". I didn't get any cards. I assumed there were autism alert cards "packed" inside, but instead I got a list of where to purchase cards on the reference page. Please don't be mislead by this review. As an autistic person I dislike gray area, and think it would be best to not have read that, because I base my purchases off of reviews and this review was shared on the direct listing. Otherwise there's a lot of good information in the book, and I look forward to reading it.

Purchased for the teen girl's in the my social skill's class. Parents were really happy to have this book, as well as the girls! Very helpful!

Aspergirl here, this is definitely worth a read. Covers all safety topics including interpersonal relationships all the way to drugs and alcohol. Just wish it had a chapter on diet and eating (as women on the spectrum are more likely to experience eating disorders (like anorexia, orthorexia, ARFID) and it'd be all set.

Was so inspired to buy this as the author came to my place of work to speak about her life as a austic adult and the ways she dealt with the trials and her acheivements growing up. She is incredible as is this book.

This is SUCH a good book. I have a daughter on the Autistic Spectrum and we have found this really good, working through it a chapter at a time. I know from the recent Autistic Spectrum day at the NEC it has their full support too. Do please give the author your support.

This is one huge book and it is very comprehensive and covers everything you could need to know about the autistic spactrum
