Be ready to re-pot on delivery
My lemon tree arrived soon after I placed my order, and was healthy. The only thing I would say is to be ready to re-pot it when you know it is coming because the pot it comes in is small, and the tree might be root-bound as a result, which was no problem to cure, but could become a problem if the tree is left too long in that small pot.In response to a question of how long it should take before new growth appears, the literature says to wait a couple of months. The tree when repotted will appear to just sit there with nothing happening, and then all of a sudden as is happening now with my lemon tree, there will be a rapid spurt of growth which is exciting to watch, so patience is required. One other tip is to not plant the tree in too big of a pot.Twelve to fifteen inches deep is what is recommended and only a few inches bigger in diameter than what it came originally potted in.Good drainage is important as they do not like wet roots.A recommendation is to add orchid bark to the potting mix to facilitate drainage and root growth.

Survived Delivery in Winter and Seems Healthy Growing Inside So Far
Lemon tree/bush arrived well packaged and survived winter delivery in Northern Virginia. Seems healthy and did not suffer shock from delivery (which was my biggest worry). The plant is growing in south facing window of house with grow light for additional light and seems to be doing well. (Plant arrived at home about 3 weeks prior to this photo.) The plant arrived in green pot as pictured with tape over top of pot holding dirt in place. Will re-pot in spring.

Great buy!
Plant arrived in great shape and was still moist. Was surprised it was in such good shape seeing how my mail delivery person had it sitting upside down..so no telling what it went through getting here. Was packaged with care and arrived quickly! Overall, very happy with the value for the money. Even has two shoots! Also, I can see buds about to bloom! Definitely worth the purchase!

So far so good...so far so meh...
So far so good. I received my tree, she's happy and a beautiful green. I did notice that it's not a graft to an established root, which is what a lot of gardening blogs suggest will make a plant most successful. I do have two concerns...The tag id's it as a meter lemon bush, not improved Meyer lemon. I thought Meyer lemons were illegal in the U.S. if not Improved. Also, I expected a more established tree. My tree was planted 1/18/20...so I'm a little concerned. I am by no means more than a novice and I was hoping to be successful with this tree. Like I said, so far, so good...but I've only had the tree two days...Update: She dropped all of her leaves despite watering very sparingly and placing her in as much sun as I possibly can inside the house. I've been reading and reading and trying to save her, but I'm worried. Right now she gets a healthy amount of direct sunlight, no drying vents closeby, no overwatering, and she still has green stems. Here's hoping...Update 5/31/20: She's been outside in the direct sunlight and weather that a Pennsylvania May provides. She's got leaves budding that are anywhere from 1/2 cm to 1 cm. She also has a lemon bud! Clearly she went through a shock/protest after leaving the greenhouse, then needed more sunlight.

My Lemon Tree is AMAZING!!!
The lemon tree came in very good shape. It was very well cared for and sturdy for a little plant. It was little but bigger than I anticipated for a starter plant. It was well package as to not get damaged and it arrived in a timely manner. I have attempted many times to grow a lemon tree and had a few successes out of 100 that unfortunately didn't make it due my error in care. This one I bought is thriving and doing well. Thank you! I will buy more from this vendor because this vendor has quality items and obviously cares about the product they send out. I can't rate on the flavor because it is too early to tell, but hopefully I can come back with that info soon enough.

The BEST seller of trees!
I ordered a lemon tree from another seller and received it full of pests, dry and half dead...I received my Meyer Lemon from Hirts the very next day and it is 100xs better!!!!! VERY healthy! This package was WELL packed to come to Michigan, a cold season now. No issues with this purchase! And, it has TWO stems! They sent me a pot that actually has two lemon trees in it! What a nice surprise! I am hoping to have some help from someone more experienced to separate gently and have two trees instead of one :)I REALLY wanted an orange tree but none were available.I will definitely be purchasing my trees from Hirts in the future!!!!I do NOT work for this company, nor do I have ANY connection to them, just one HAPPY customer!

Sweet!!
Healthy little plant, in soil and good size. I bought mine in the winter and I live in zone 7a, so I have to bring it in and out alot. I feel it is hardening up well and can't wait to see what it does.
