WORX Cordless Compact Circular Saw, 20V 4-1/2-Inch Brushless, WX531L

Very impressed. Super lightweight and great handle feel and safety switch positioning (a huge fail on so many of these little saws). Plenty of power. Barely enough depth to cut a 2x4, but it does and does so effortlessly. Originally I bought one of the off brand models from amazon, but sent it back. It was inferior in every way, especially ergonomics. A huge handle that was too big (and i have large hands), poorly placed safety switch, and mediocre power and operation. Poor ergonomics = dangerous to use. No good. I bought the similar Skil model at the same time I bought the Worx expecting i could make good use of two saws for different purposes. The skil seemed well made, but was defective. Motor seized up after a couple cuts. I believe this to be a one off issue, but a concern none the less. So, wasn't able to actually use it, but in comparison to the Worx, the Worx was the better saw in terms of size, definitely smaller, weight, noticeably lighter, and ergonomics. The Skil handle shape is good, very small, but fine, but the safety switch placement is less than ideal but not terrible. Not nearly as seamless to use as the Worx. So, it got sent back but it was validation for me the worx was the best choice. The Skil might have been more powerful had it worked because of a slightly larger motor, not sure but the priority for me was size, ergonomics, and effectiveness. I use it for cutting siding doing window replacement and misc use and it's excellent. If i need more, I'll use a full size circular saw but this little guy is the go to for most tasks.

It’s easy to handle, not heavy, it cuts good, No complaints

Finally used the saw to cut a 2x4 and was pleasantly surprised with how easily it cut without any slowdown at all. Used a Diablo 32 tooth blade and got a smooth finish on the cut ends. I was sure glad it worked as I hoped it would, considering the cost. It will be perfect for the little bit of cutting I do, and way better than having to use a hand saw. Down one star because I can't verify durability after only cutting one board.

It is much slower that a full 115 VAC power saw but easily does the job. I paired it with the Worx cube cordless vacuum and had no sawdust to clean up!

I looked at several brands of these small cordless saws and I’m glad I bought Worx saw. It powers through 2x4s and 3/4” plywood just fine. The saws handle is easy on the wrist so less hand and wrist fatigue. The depth and angle adjustments thumb knobs are easy to operate. The battery life provides plenty of power to cut a bunch of 2x4s before recharge. I bought this Worx cordless saw to bridge the gap when I just need to saw a few things around the house instead of breaking out the big DeWalt corded circular saw.

Found it was realy convenient for small jobs. Great for 1x boards and plywood. I really like the light. Very easy to see line i was cutting along. Alot lighter than my full size circular saw. Of course it doesn't have the same power, but i bet it would still be decent for a few 2xs.

Have purchased 2 of these saws. First one returned because it wouldn't cut through a 1/4' sheet of plywood or through a 2x4. Thought there was a problem with the saw. Received the second saw which was $30 more expensive. This saw wouldn't cut halfway across a sheet of plywood without dying. Contacted WORX regarding the product and was told the saw won't run on the 2 amp battery shipped with it. WORX Customer Service refuses to provide a battery that will run the saw. You will have to purchase a higher rated battery from WORX in order to use the saw. Tech support refuses to acknowledge but spent the better part of an hour telling me how to use a saw. I’m 68 years old and have use a saw or two in my lifetime.

Pour avoir magasiner et rechercher sur plusieurs site et avoir fait ce choix, je ne suis pas déçu. Pour petits travaux ça en vaut le coup, ne pas croire qu’un contreplaqué peut être coupé sans déviation mais fait bien l’affaire.
