This gooseneck tablet holder is great for watching videos, taking photos, reading or even holding a GPS. The strong clamp attaches to most surfaces and stays put. 360 degree rotation. Minimal assembly required.

Flying iPad alert
I'm an artist, hoping I could use this stand to clip my iPad to my easel for a demo. Luckily I tried it at home first. I lack the physical strength to push the clip open. Once I did manage to attach it to my easel, the clip released spontaneously and the springs inside the clip propelled the stand flying across the studio in a great hurry. Fortunately my iPad was not attached at the time. I will try again but affix the clips yo a drawing board instead of the easel itself. Right now, propping my iPad up on my easel itself is a far better solution than this expensive device. Disappointed.

It's great, my hands are just weak!
I used this to clip onto my desk and record time lapses of myself drawing for future reference, and I discovered that it was really, really hard to bend and even harder to open the clip. I don't know if it's just badly built or if I'm just weak, but I'm betting it's the latter, considering that my friend easily opened it and bent it into shape. So if you're a weak little gremlin with tiny hands like me, I don't recommend it. If you're literally anyone else, then go for it!

Strength Needed
This is so convenient for when I want to watch videos on my phone in bed, but the attachment clamp is so hard to attach to anything, I'm using two hands to try and pry it open each time. I'm almost afraid it will damage the surface I try to attach it to. Still, that just means that this clamp is really secure and the side that holds your device is gentle.

Doesn't hold a lot of phone weight but it's pretty handy.

Maybe it’s better with a more lightweight phone and reinforced clips
Doesn’t really clip that well. It seems to slip and tilt over after a few seconds with a phone in it. Now just collecting dust under my bed. Maybe it’s better with a more lightweight phone and reinforced clips.

Clip breaks but holds for awhile
Like it but the clip that holds the phone doesn't last. Had to order a new one.

Very difficult to position
I was afraid this might be flimsy and break easily but the opposite is true; the gooseneck is so strong and stiff that it is almost impossible to get it into the position you require and the clamp is so stiff I have trouble opening it to attach it to anything. Also because it holds the sides of the phone you can't hold the phone centrally in the jaws without it pressing the on/off buttonI hoped this would hold my phone in all sorts of places but because it takes so long to adjust the stiff neck to a useful position it is not really worth the effort of keep changing it, you just have to use it one place/position, hence nowhere near as versatile as I hoped.

Obvious re-sell of a faulty return
I was wary due to the state of the items packaging, it was all taped up and bulged at the bottom. When I opened the package I found the flexible arm was loose at the where it joined the main grip, which meant it would not hold it's own weight let alone any mobile phone held in the holder. The holder it's self was not the same as the one pictured on the box and in the instructions, which leads me to believe that the person who had previously returned it may have changed it with an alternative version. I would like to explain that I have purchased two of these exact holders from Waterstones the bookshop, My sons think that they are pretty good and that is why I wanted another for myself, unfortunately they had sold out when I saw that Amazon sold the same item. Whoever picked and packed this item for despatch requires further training in quality control, as does thev person who accepted the returned item without checking it was fit for purpose. Now I will endeavour the get the item from Waterstones again.

Great after a few alterations
I really like this, I use it for crafting. The clamp is very strong, was quite difficult to fit onto my craft stand but once it’s on it stays in place well. I like that it’s easily adjusted. The connection that holds the tablet to the arm is easily knocked off but I superglued it together. It’s very sturdy now and works well for me.

Hopeless
My tablet does fit in it, but only in landscape orientation, Any attempt to rotate it into Portrait mode and the tablet simply slides out. To be fair it isn't specific in the description that it does work in portrait mode but its useless as a holder if it is only designed to fit within a couple of degrees rotation before it lets go of your tablet. And whilst I am online, I have a Samsung tablet A. I would describe it as a small to medium tablet. Unless you manage to bend the arm of this holder well back over its centre of gravity it will simply tilt forward because of the weight, which would be fine if I was lay on the carpet underneath the table trying to look at it. A waste of my money.!
