Original Pro Charger 44W 15V 2.58A Power Supply Compatible for Microsoft Surface Pro 6 Pro 5 Fits Model 1796 1800 Power Cord with 5V 1A USB Charging Port

Purchased this after looking at less expensive models reviews on over-heating, humming noises, etc. It was more expensive than other options but very satisfied with this charger. Great quality (looks and feels identical to the original charger) no excessive heat, no noise, good cord length, and does what it is supposed to do.

This item was bought to replace my sons non-working charger. It worked as expected. He was happy with it. Said it connected and worked like his old one use to.

So I saw this charger has 5 stars and thought that it might actually be a legit Microsoft charger. Well I received it today, gave it a side by side comparison to my actual Surface charger and it is NOT an actual OEM Microsoft charger. Already sent it on its way back.Maybe I am just more observant than the usual consumer.Here are the noticeable differences:1. Cord that plugs into wall is more stiff than real Microsoft charger and its also a different material. The actual Microsoft charger has a soft touch rubber and this one is a harder material. Also the square portion with the prongs that plugs into the wall is larger than Microsoft's.2. On the large block, the USB port is flipped compared to Microsoft's actual charger. That was a big red flag.3. The long cord with the Surface connector on it isn't as flexible, its noticeably stiffer.4. The magnetic connection isn't as strong as Microsoft's actual charger.5. The weight is lighter. I've noticed over the years of having laptops that aftermarket knock off chargers are always lighter, the actual Microsoft charger I have has a noticeably heavier feel to it.I will say one thing, it's a GOOD fake. If you weren't able to look at a real one and this one side by side you probably would assume that it's real.I cant say how long lasting it is or how durable it is because I returned it right when I inspected it side by side with a real one.Again, pretty believable fake but I do not think this item is priced right considering you can find knock off Surface chargers for $10-20 right here on Amazon.EDIT: Just received a knock off charger that I bought for $8.00 on Amazon and its identical to this one that costs $45. I might even say the $8.00 one is better as far as quality control goes. Just saying, this charger is NOT OEM Microsoft, its a typical knock off that is branded to look like Microsoft.

Work gave me a microsoft pro book to use but the charger on it didn't work right. I decided to buy this and it works fine

Kind of expensive/flimsy for a part that is necessary to use my more expensive device. Much more durable than third party though.

I broke my oem charger to a work provided tablet. This charger is exactly the same. No one would notice a thing.

I paid a lot extra for the microsoft brand and the connection to computer plastic tip broke in 2 months - been working with a periodic charge ever since. Frustrating. No proper computer connection now. Shopping for a new one on emergency.

Works great! No problem with it. Just the same as my old one except functional.
