German Armoured Cars and Reconnaissance Half Tracks 1939-1945

This one was a little slow in reading...

Not a great deal if information on the late war armored cars. Not worth he money. However the seller service was great.

I'm no armor expert but I do have a fair knowledge of the subject and a full bookcase of reference books to prove it. This book is a real lightweight. No meat and nearly no potatoes. Not recommended except to persons who want a quick reference and have a limited amount of money to spend. You get what you pay for, 48 pages, 9.6" by 6.9" to cover development and operations of these vehicles over the 6 year period of WW2. Anyone want to buy my lightly read copy?

German Armoured Cars and Reconnaissance Half-Tracks 1939-45 was a bit disappointing in the brevity of its coverage. I bought it with a question regarding the number of crewmen in the SdKfz 233. I am convinced it held only 3, but this book didn't even mention it.

The new vanguard books are a great deal for the price. Lots of info and color plates.

This book has a good bit of historical information that is very good.However,From a model builders viewpoint, it is not very good.There are virtually NO interior photos. There are some decent line drawings, and in action pictures, but I would not purchase it again.

12 year old son is obsessed with German artillery. He loves this book.

If you once purchased and still own the original Osprey Vanguard title for goodness sake do NOT - as I foolishly did - spend money on this in the belief that it would be a re-vamped and improved version of the original. With the exception of an added diagram of the Sdkfz 234/4 and a minor re-jigging of the coloured illustrations this is the same book.

Great overview of the reasoning behind and practical need for the evolution of reconnaissance vehicles. The photos and illustrations are invaluable for modelers.

Good book giving a clear outline of the variants and simple text. Colour drawings very useful.
