Itโs not a business book but it does have sprinkles of tools you can utilize for your business, which I loved and appreciate as a business owner. Review: Life Changing Book for Women | Free Audiobook Chapter | #BigGirlPants | Four-minute Summary - If there was a book that could magically give you courage and clarity to change your life and impact the world, would you read it? Drown out the negative voices in your head with hers. (Listen to the first chapter of the audiobook for free on her podcast, The Jennifer Allwood Show, episode 163.) Fear Is Not the Boss of You is engaging, insightful, and full of surprises. One moment Iโm snorting my breakfast smoothie at Jenniferโs turn of a phrase, and the next moment Iโm grabbing my highlighter to mark profound truths or smart suggestions to revisit later. Hereโs an example: โI am not the sum of the bad decisions I have madeโฆ Even if those decisions were yesterday!โ Jennifer didnโt just write a book. She created a roadmap for finally breaking free of the lies and habits that have held us back from fulfilling Godโs great plans for our lives. A tiny sampling of the many truths I highlighted: โYour feelings, my friend, do not release you from your calling.โ โWhat you were handed is not your handicap; it can be your secret sauce. That would make him look bad!โ Jennifer embodies freedom of conscience that is often lacking in our culture on both ends of the political and religious spectrums. Sheโs not afraid to tell you what she believes about God, Jesus, and sin. At the same time, she gives you permission to be a grown-up and make up your own mind. Her book is a safe place to explore whatโs holding you back without judgment, shame, or condemnation. If youโve been hurt by so-called Christians in a so-called church, sheโs so very sorry (and so am I). It wasnโt supposed to be that way, and we hope youโll give us knuckleheads another chance. What Would Happen if You Didn't Overthink, but Just DID Instead?
The question in the title of this review is one Jennifer Allwood raises in this honest, straightforward yet compassionately written book. Jennifer's enthusiasm and humor radiate throughout the book. She has a great way of making you feel like you've been life long friends all the while offering encouraging, thought-provoking questions that will motivate you to stop being stuck where you're at and get moving. I ordered the book after a friend recommended I check out "this spitfire business coach and entrepreneur" Jennifer Allwood. My friend knew I'd been looking into how to grow my business and that I was also feeling somewhat stuck. After hearing a few of Jennifer's FB live videos and podcasts, I knew this book would be so helpful in growing that business. Boy, oh boy, did I get more than I even bargained for? It's about so much more! Reading this book has been so eye opening, in many aspects of my life. A reality check in some ways. And I am so grateful for the honest questions and the quirky, interesting way she shares what God has laid on her heart to share with all who read this book. I get the sense she genuinely wants to see other "friends" succeed in both their personal lives AND their business. Reading this book has helped me to get unstuck (and more motivated) in following what I'm called to do in my life and business. I've learned that I should not be afraid to fail, but instead terrified of regret because I didn't step out and give it a try. Though that can be overwhelming, I know I will learn valuable lessons along the way. We owe it to ourselves and our families to "get on with it." No matter what your background or where you are at in your life, reading this book is sure to provide wisdom and encouragement to you, not just in your business, but perhaps in other areas too. Now's the time "friend" to get this book. It's SO WORTH IT!

Take the step
Fear is not the boss of me. Well, if you want an open and honest discussion about the things that cause fear to rise up and be the boss of you come sit with Jennifer Allwood in her new book. The first several chapters cause you to evaluate what is bossing you around. โWhat do you want?โ was the question God kept asking me prior to picking up this book. I never answered Him. Of course in true God fashion, He found another way to ask me once again and to identify what is causing me to be so fearful. He just so happened to use Mrs. Allwood, herself. The truth is, I love the way Mrs. Allwood writes. Itโs open. Honest. Straight forward. No holds barred. Sheโs gentle but makes you stop and think, if you choose to take the challenge. My guess is she would not take my excuses if we were sitting across from each other drinking a cup of tea. She would tell me itโs time to put on my big girl panties (in the gentlest way possible) and make some hard decisions after praying and asking God to show me the way. Yes, she is a believer but even nonbelievers can get some clarity from the wisdom she shares in this book. Being a woman of faith should not discount her ability to speak truth into what causes us to be fearful and therefore inactive in our pursuit of the impact we want to create in our families and spheres of influence. Itโs healthy for each of us to take a moment to evaluate where we are and how we got here. To stop making the excuses and allow ourselves to become the best version of ourselves. Having someone whoโs going through that process share the journey with you, help you work it out and come up for a breath of fresh air under the pressures of being stuck, overwhelmed, or just plane scared, or any combination of the three. This book does that. Pick up the book. Read it. Share it with loved ones and friends. Walk through this together and see what God does with the words He has given Mrs. Allwood to encourage you.

The most needed and timely, a must read
Fear is not the boss of you is a much-needed kick in the rear end while getting a huge hug and a new best friend in Jennifer Allwood saying, โGirl, youโve got this!โ Now get off the couch and get out there and get your stuff done! Jennifer does a wonderful job of telling you like it is, but not making you feel like a fud, and giving you a way to get out of being afraid! I felt like she was there where I have been, and fought her way out, saying, you are not alone, hold my hand and we can get out of the rut and get you on the path God has laid out for you! One of my favorite quotes: โIโm telling you to do something because I believe you have incredible gifts and talents and ideas, yet you continue to stay small because of fear. And that ainโt okay. Ladies, it is time. Get up and get going. You have one life, one chance to do what needs to be done. You donโt have time to waste or whine or put off or give excuses. Tomorrow is not even guaranteed.โ Folks!!! If that doesnโt light a fire in your heart, you need to go get checked! I am fired up!!! If I was a famous book reviewer, Iโd give it a five-star rating for sure! You MUST get this book, read it, send it to your kids, read it in bible study, book club! It will fire you up, too!!! I know it will!!

This is great book for mindset & breakthrough in your Network Marketing business, or any business!
The only regret I have is waiting to order this book! I found Jennifer on her Podcast (make sure to subscribe). As an industry leader in Network Marketing, Iโve read enough books to have a double triple Doctorate Degree, and enough to fill the back of a dump truck! I thought Fear Is Not The Boss Of Me would just be a repeat of stuff I already knew. Boy was I wrong. After the first couple chapters, I ordered a few for my top leaders, and one of them read it in a night and immediately went to check Jennifer out on YouTube! The book prompts you to search your soul, kind of like peeling an onion back to dig for reasons youโre not having breakthrough in your life and business. She delivers the content in a way that mixes tough love with compassion & gets you to dig deep into your thought process on a lot of mindset issues that could be holding you back. Although it sounds like a hard read, itโs not. Anyone that reads this will find value-no matter if you have big hairy audacious business goals, or just want to be the best mom and wife you can be. Iโm a Proverbs 31 girl, and strive to live my life that way, so of course the Jesus sprinkling was icing on the cake. Iโll be purchasing the book as Christmas gifts for my team, because itโs seriously in the top 3 of The best books Iโve read. And Iโll be sending a highlighter with it-theyโll need it๐ Thanks Jennifer, and I hope God speaks to you to write another one!

Such a timely message from a real, raw, powerful voice that loves ya like a sister!
As a woman who's just launching into the biggest-hardest-scariest business venture of her life....I needed this right NOW! I've been so overwhelmed by what I'm reading in this book, in the best way! I preordered it because I was so excited to read more of Jennifer's wisdom and hilarity that I get from her on her podcast and on her FB page. She has been through so many different struggles and successes in her life that it's really easy to relate to her on so many levels. I've found her stories to be relatable, her challenges to be eye-opening, the questions she asks to be honest, and her desire to see women be unstuck and living what they were born for...so genuine! It's hard to put the book down, and when I read it I hear it in Jen's voice - it's so great. I don't hardly ever do reviews, but I wanted people who were wondering about this book to know - it's worth it's weight in Gold! If you're a business-owning woman, Jen will tell you what you need to hear in a way that brings freedom, courage, and laughs.

I'm gonna need a bigger highlighter!
As you can see, I don't often write reviews on Amazon. Okay, honestly, I pretty much never do, but this book deserves my time and yours!! I cannot stop highlighting whole paragraphs in this book. Jennifer feels like a close friend who is speaking sense into my life. Even though I have read hundreds of self-help/personal development books and will probably hundreds more, "Fear is Not the Boss of You," is going to get a spot on the hallowed shelf where I keep the books that have changed my life. I already know that when I finish it I am going to start it all over again. Jennifer Allwood's writing is so accessible. I immediately felt like I knew her and that we were friends. Thus the highlighting of the very first paragraph in the picture! Her sense of humor coupled with her unwavering faith in God are like peanut butter and jelly. As a personal development coach and marketing consultant I can sus out BS pretty quickly and trust me, there's no BS in this book! If you are looking for a new voice, Jennifer might be the one God has created for you!!!

This book is a booster and so encouraging!
Fear is not the boss of you is a precious book for all women who need encouragement in their everyday life. The author Jennifer Allwood writes about her own challenges and how she got stuck and handled it. I like her troubleshooting and the ways she got unstuck in different things. There are a lot of reasons to let go what you better would have done. I found myself in it and I don`t want to miss this book in my library. It is so encouraging and a booster to start new things when fear takes contol of you. You know in your knower that you don`t have to fear your fear, because fear is not the boss of you. This book is for Everyone!
Jennifer speaks to all the things that may cause you to hesitate reaching for your greatest self. She believes that everyone has a purpose and that if we stop letting fear be in charge we can find the way! Right from the first chapter she had my attention and I felt like it was a conversation with a girlfriend and not someone preaching to me. The read is relaxed, enjoyable and full of 'A-Ha' moments. Just what I needed right now. You won't be disappointed by this book.
