The Polar Express Skiing Hobo Observation Car

I have read this story to my children since they were little. I purchased this for my son who has the "original" Polar Express train set (no snow on cars) still at 35! It comes out every Christmas around the tree for a very impressive layout.There is a newer edition of the Polar Express that this car goes with. All of the passenger cars in the new set have snow.Love this train car, love this scene from the movie and LOVE that the Hobo spins our little "doubter" round and round!

Great product

The hobo on skis is cool and pivots from the waist. As pointed out in a previous review, it does not pivot at low to medium speed but I don’t care personally. The one gripe I do have is the cheap plastic railing on the backend fell off as I pulled the car from the package. It went back into place easy enough but for the money I would expect to chain lift a motorcycle engine off the rail. Additionally the car does have a coupler but is not able to connect as a middle car. I bought it as an additional car that I could add to the Polar Express three coach cars but the rounded roof top prevents the car to couple and must be located as last car.The car came from TrainWorld.com. The car was very well packaged and arrived one day before it was scheduled. I’m a big fan of TrainWorld now!
