It’s perfect to repair my music box!

I love making music boxes for my friends--I decorate wooden boxes and drill holes for these pieces to fit inside.Like many music boxes, you need to mount the movement to a surface to hear the music, so don't be alarmed if it sounds quiet when it's playing!My only criticism is that I received one that didn't work--I could wind it up but something internal would prevent it from unwinding on its own. The manufacturers smoothed-out the screw heads, so there was no way for me to open it up and take a peek inside.Out of the four that I had purchased, only one had been faulty like this. I would still recommend these to people interested in making their own boxes.

Good quality. I wish it would play a bit longer on each wind up. The ad was a little confusing. I thought I was getting 4 in each order because of the pictures and the music selections. Read carefully.

I've only had the Lilium from Elfen Lied tune, and now Swan Lake. I can highly recommend the tune with Elfen Lied, as it sounds nice for how short and small it is. Though having just got the Swan Lake tune, am finding it plays extremely fast, and is not pleasant to listen too. It might be because with the size and number of notes that it has can't be played any slower for that piece of music, but whatever the reason, I'd avoid Swan Lake for sure.

Beautiful tones. I made a music box for my mother and the love story being one of her favorites. So what better then the Huliduo Gold Plated 18 note to ad to the inside. I was very pleased with the sound and she was very happy to see and hear this coming from the box. The tones are surprisingly louder then expected no problem hearing the beautiful sound of the Huiliduo Gold Plating 18 Note Musical.

I ordered two music boxes in the theme of "Love Story". I was thrilled at first. This is a song near and dear to my childhood and I wanted to recreate that. One of the music boxes was DOA, the gears would not turn at all. The other music box "worked" but had a damaged drum and produced what only could be described as the song a Victorian era ghost would sing before it murdered you. I had the brilliant idea to take the music drum from the box that did not work and put it in the box that did work. Even then, what it produced sounded nothing like "Love Story". I am so incredibly disappointed. I am not even requesting a refund. I tossed both in the trash and wrote this off as a learning experience.

I bought this to replace a movement that I bought in the 60's. It's almost the same. I only gave it 4 s tars because it did not come with a spring to shut the music off. I took the spring off my old one and fitted it to my new one. Without this spring it would not have worked Anyone buying one of these movement will have to improvise to get the music to stop..
