Entire Product arrived DAMAGED and not due to shipping. Opened the box to find at least 6 of the wooden rails BROKEN or detached from frame. If it were simply a case of gluing in the wooden rails back in I would keep it but in some places the wood was broken or the wooden pegs were broken off completely. Absolutely NO inspection is performed prior to shipping. Now hassle of the return. Terrible experience

It's lovely, I broke it in the first hour. It fell over and the latch broke. Went to Home Depot, got a kick plate. Solved, and improved. Love it. Would have been 5 but I had to fix it almost immediately.

The gate really looks good and is not flimsy like some of the less expensive models I've tried. My complaint is that the swinging gate is warped such that when it is pulled to the close position, the latch is completely beyond the frame it is supposed to attach to. So when it is latched properly the bottom of the gate is out of alignment with the frame. This works, but doesn't look as good and requires attention to be sure you line up the parts to latch the gate. I was hoping (expecting) better construction for this price. Our dog respects the barrier, but on a hardwood floor even with the weight of the panels the cat can easily push a panel aside to get past it, but the gate still stays upright. Other free standing gates I've tried are easy to move on a hardwood floor, but this one doesn't easily fall down.
