Capnography, King of the ABC's: A Systematic Approach for Paramedics

First, I should say, I do not regret buying this book. Much.That being said, this is NOT an extremely detailed, wide ranging source on everything capnography. It's an introductory source at best. If you've never used capnography, then it's a great place to start. If you learned about capnography in paramedic school, use it in the field, it's most likely NOT going to add anything to your knowledge base. It will reinforce what you already know. It will strengthen your knowledge by repetition of those facts and giving it to you in other words, another way of explaining it. But it's not going to open your eyes to new, fantastic ways to assess your patients' respiratory status.If you ALREADY understand capnography and can make basic decisions on the waveforms you see on your monitor, I would recommend considering digging a little deeper in your wallet and getting one of the more expensive but more extensive sources on capnography. I'm already shopping for something else and looking forward to something a little more challenging than this book was.In review, if capnography is new to you, this is a good book. If it isn't, it might not knock your socks off.

This was a great book for me in Paramedic School. If your new to Capnography then this book is an excellent book to start with. Now that I am a Paramedic and preparing to enter Nursing School I would like more than this book. I am going to reread this book a few more time. It's worth owning.

Troy came and taught a class for us and he is very knowledgeable. He explains his book in simple terms and gives great feedback. I bought the book to reference after the class.

Great review of the basics even for the experienced paramedic. Even my BLS partners have read it. I must have for your library. I wish it was iBooks, that would have been perfect.

Amazing book. The information you can gain from this is invaluable. My only gripe would be it is very short and the price seems a little high for a book under 100 pages but it really delivers a lot in such a small package.

I bought this book to help me with my Paramedic studies as there aren't many books out there purely on Capnography. I found this book to be very easy to read, with information relevant to paramedic practice and to just the right depth of knowledge. The back of the book also includes a short notes version of the whole book which is very useful for quick reference! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their understanding of capnography in the prehospital setting!

A brilliant book written for paramedics by a paramedic. Capnography, in particular use of nasal specs in non-intubated patients is slowing working its way into UK practice, this book has given me a great grounding as to its uses and limitations. Its definitely given me another tool to my skill set in pre-hospital care to enable a more thorough patient assessment.

Fantastic book

This is a good little book, aimed specifically at paramedics. It has something for everyone and is well laid out.
