Wonderful fans!
These are wonderful! They are quiet, small, easy to move around, safe blades, move a lot of air. I have 8 of them, ordered through the years, don’t need AC as much!

A great desk fan option
I needed something compact for a desk space that tends to be hot bc it’s in front of a south facing window and my AC doesn’t seem to disperse cool air far enough to reach it. I was initially gonna go for another brand but remembered this one because I had heard of it on YouTube randomly. Given the price and purpose of the fan I was initially hesitant given there are cheaper mini desk fans that are regular AC or USB. But I decided to take the plunge. It does not disappoint! It blows a very admirable amount of air at me while I’m gaming. Even at level 1. Level 2 is strong and great for super hot days. I also find it very quiet. Which I was looking for. Didn’t want any buzzing or vibrating or rattling. Just air. The chinook succeeds at that. I know some people are iffy about the design, I find it charming in a very stripped back way. Maybe it’s just the minimalist in me. Overall I recommend for anyone who needs a smaller tabletop fan. Fair warning, it is not the most compact option you will find. So if you’re really tight on space this could be a Shock to you out of the box. While it’s certainly not mid sized it is hitting the line. However, the counter to that is that you’re getting a larger motor, larger blades, thus, better performance. Other perks are it’s made in Canada and it feels well made!

Small fan - Big Performance
This is a 2nd purchase of this Chinook fan. 1st one was purchased 5 years ago in 2017 for the bedroom and it ran almost 24/7. It ran faithfully and quietly until it finally stopped working (or so I thought) a few weeks ago so I purchased another. I was not willing to just toss out the old unit so I was reading in the directions that came with the new unit (before I threw them out) that the fan should be oiled if it ever slows down or heats up. Doh. So I removed the blade and a few drops of sewing machine oil down the shaft brought the old feller back to life. I use that one at my office desk now. Great little fans, easy to clean (and oil). Once you get the little rubber feet positioned properly it is quite stable and vibration free. Air flow is quite good at low speed, and very good at high speed. And yet still quiet. A little more dollars than the budget cheapies, but I have gone through 4 or 5 of those in the life span of one of these. Good value and worth a few extra bucks if you want a small fan that is quality built, quiet, and will last.

Utterly Reliable for 7 Years
I have used this as my bedroom and desk fan for seven years in a row, and I've used it every summer day since I bought it. It's quiet, it pushes a lot of air, easy to clean, and has been bulletproof for this whole time. The fan blades are soft plastic and they won't hurt your hand, children, or pets if they were to put a digit or hand in it. The motor inside doesn't seem to be bothered by being interrupted or jammed, either. It has two fan speeds, fast and slow, and the unit can be rotated vertically. There is no horizontal rotation, and it can't aim downwards very well (the fan blades hit the stand). The price does seem high for a desk fan, but what you get is a truly high quality, robust, yet simple product for the price - as an added bonus, if you would need to fix anything it's really quite easy to take apart and reassemble. I've been told that these are commonly found on fishing vessels and other boats, and I totally understand why. These things are absolute tanks. 10/10, would buy more if I needed them.

Amazing little fan
After buying a solar generator, I wanted a fan that didn't pull a lot of wattage in case of a power outage, so I'd be able to keep some air circulation in my room at night, and to help keep me cool while I try to sleep. This fits the bill, at a full charge (the battery for the generator holds about 1 kWh) I'll wake up with about 82% battery left after 6 hours with the fan on low. Outside of that usage situation, this fan is amazing for how small it is. It costs more than more fans its size, but it's very sturdily built, has good weight to it, and I'm sure due in some part to not having a cage surrounding them, the blades being so curved throws a good stream of air, with low keeping me comfortable and high honestly getting me cold enough to need to pull a blanket up when I'm trying to sleep. More than all that, probably the nicest feature is how easy it is to clean and maintain everything, and the ability to order replacement blades. In the current world we live in, where everything you buy is cheap junk that costs more to repair than replace, and repairs are generally just wasting your time as nothings built to last, it's great to own something that is built to last longer and can be fixed with minimal effort. I'm a big fan, and definitely willing to suggest this to anyone I know looking for a desk fan or something small.

great little fan
I love this fan. It's small, can fit on edge of desk, small table near chair, bed, anywhere. It's pretty quiet and really strong to cool you. I highly recommend it. We've had one of theses for years, always loved it and recently bought two more to have in other rooms. Can also be placed on floor to cool you. It has two speeds and is able to tilt up or down for placement of air flow. I have white and peach colored, which is really pretty. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Attractive, portable, works for my needs
PROS: *Sleek attractive design, looks good on most surfaces. *Easy to unplug and move from room to room, especially compared to my other larger fans. *Low noise, though good for those who may like some white noise. *Cool wind travels up to six feet at high speed. Though some find it's not powerful enough for them. It works for me since it's a personal fan. It won't cool the room and you need to be directly in line with where the fan is blowing. If you are looking for real power that blows you out the door, this fan ain't it. *No cage means easier to clean blades and was the main reason I purchased. I haven't had to clean it yet. *I usually have the fan on for hours at a time, both day and night, and so far, so good. *The rubber on the stand has a great grip and keeps the fan from falling over if you knock it accidentally. *I am definitely cooler in front of this fan, and it is helping get through a broken AC. (It will not come close to AC, but it's better than the alternative, which is unbearable. Unfortunately, my other fan is very loud and impossible to clean. CONS: *Fan is pricey for size and settings. *I have accidentally put my hand and finger in the blades. It hurts. I would not want a small child touching them at high speed. *Fan gets quite hot on top, which concerns me as far as durability, but might not be cause for concern since lots of devices heat up. * Wish cord was longer. Limited where I can put it. NOTE: if this fan lasts, then I'd say the price is worth it. Overall, I'm happy. Fan arrived in new condition and looks just like the photos. Worked right away.

This fan is a must-have for me
Can't manage without this small and attractive but powerful fan in bedroom and bath, imo much better than smaller Vornado's. I hope they never stop producing them! Easy to clean, very sturdy, lightweight for travel.

Best fan ever!
Needed a small, portable, quiet fan for the travel trailer. I have other Caframo products and I know their quality. This is no exception. It actually weighs quite a bit more than you would expect from looking at it. Solid build, metal components and a good sized motor. The silicone feet on the nice wide base are quite flexible, and combine that with the weight makes it extremely stable and prevents vibration on the table/counter/wherever you place it. This is one powerful little fan! It is actually more powerful - higher CFM - than the more expensive Caframo fans. On low, it moves sufficient air that you can easily feel it over 10' away. On high, it creates a wind. The air movement is not just directly in front of the fan either. I moves away from the blades in a nice wide cone, so you will feel it even off to the side. Which is nice, because even on low, it can be a bit strong if you are directly in front of it within 10'. Nicer to have a lot of gentle air movement rather than a direct blast. And it is quiet! The video is shot from about 12" from the front and 6" from the side. The motor is absolutely silent. The only noise you get is the sound of air. The phone microphone picks up artifact buffeting of air from the blades, but you don't hear that yourself. (note: what looks like the motor slowing down is just the frame rate and light from the phone interfering with each other - more artifact) I am buying another.

Best.Fan.Ever!
Silent, tough, powerful, reliable, adjustable, portable, safe, and highly highly recommend! I was given one that at that point was already 15 years old and I used it every day for over five years and I continue to use it every day. That one keeps going strong with only some occasional motor sounds and the rubber feet hardened and broke off. Bought a new one (black to match my office) about a month ago and it's AMAZING!! Just like the one that's now apparently 21 yrs old! I will purchase another one too for home. These fans are powerful, virtually silent, can be tilted to direction the air flow with precision, are well-made, sturdy and have non-slip feet, are portable and seem to simply work forever. They are child, pet and accident safe with the flexible blades that only alarm one if hit but do not hurt at all. Truly, I no longer see the point in getting a larger fan when these Chinook fans actually do so much. I take mine whenever I go overnight anywhere and I bought the new one this year for my office. I can feel the airflow from 5 or 6 feet away or it can sit on my metal filing cabinet just 8" from me and it is still silent and powerful. It hasn't added background noise to any of my virtual sessions or phone calls even sitting a few inches from the mic. The two speeds are enough, with me generally using the higher speed when wanting to feel significant air from several feet away. I use one by my bed all night. I have always been a 'hot body' and this little simple Chinook fan has been a lifesaver in my 'season' of hot flashes. I've recommended this fan to many people I know who struggle with heat (internal or external) or just need greater airflow around them. The only possible situation I would have some hesitancy to recommend it would be if you needed white noise. It's so quiet that it may not provide enough 'noise' for that purpose. Truly truly an excellent fan and worthy of recommendation!

Fantastic litte fan!
Finally a fan that you can clean in a jiffy! This fan is sturdy even if it’s little! And I won’t hurt you if you accidentally touch the blades! Good power and very quiet! Will order a second one! Shortly after I bought it I accidentally dropped it 🫤 and the blades stopped turning… but i could feel the motor running. Left a message with the manufacturer and 3 minutes later I got a callback from a very pleasant lady who said the base of the blade was too tight again the body of the fan (surely from dropping it). She had me pull it away from the body and my issue was solved in a mattee of seconds! WOW!
