These chairs are a very good deal for the price, however I would like to point out a few things to consider. The first is that my chairs had a chemical sort of smell that might bother some people. I might have got a bad set of chairs in this regard, since I didn't see any other complaints on this, but it was a bit annoying to me. I kept the chairs for two weeks before returning them, and although the smell did improve a bit, it was still there. The next thing I want to point out is that having all 3 chairs attached is a negative in my view. Two strong guys can move the chairs easily, but for those not as strong, there may be some risk in this, either now or at some future time. Also having them connected means it may be impossible to get them up or down certain stairways. Next, as others have pointed out, the chairs won't easily stay in certain positions because of the mechanism design. This was only a slight negative for me. The "Leathersoft" material, although soft and comfortable, doesn't look that much like real leather to me, and I am not sure if it breathes well. Finally, the chairs may seem a bit small for those over 6' tall.For the money, however, I don't think you can beat these flash furniture chairs, and they are very comfortable. I ended up spending 3 times the price for a leather, motorized set of chairs from the Theater Seat Store. These are very similar to the ones sold at Best Buy, and are three separate chairs that you simply position next to each other, which makes moving them simple, but the look is the same. The seat backs are about the same height as the flash furniture chairs, but the leg rests are a bit longer. The motor is nice in that it allows you to freeze the chairs at any position. I am very happy with these chairs, as they fit my needs better.

The very first thing to take into consideration with this product is the price point. This is low-cost theater seating and buyers' expectations should reflect that. Having said that, I don't find any issues at all with the quality of this unit. The appearance is great and the seats are very comfortable in the fully down and partially reclined positions. As some others have noted, the chairs don't "lock" in any position, and it is especially challenging to keep them in the fully reclined position. The seats are just a bit on the narrow side (compared to other theater seats), but I was shopping specifically for a narrow unit to fit my room.The biggest negative is that this unit is one piece. Whereas most theater seating consists of separate chairs and consoles, this is three chairs and two consoles permanently attached together in one 300-pound, bulky piece of furniture. If your application has you wondering "I wonder if I can get it around that turn," etc. you probably cannot.The other negative that has been mentioned many times is delivery. This is shipped as freight "ground delivery." What that means in the shipping world is the carrier's responsibility ends when the product is safely delivered from the truck literally to the ground. However, your mileage may vary. On the phone, my carrier told me it would be delivered "first threshold," which means basically inside the house, but not necessarily where I wanted it. On the delivery day though, the driver brought it in and helped me wrestle it through the house into it's final resting place. The driver also carted off the box and all of the packing material, a service which is normally an add-on. Your delivery experience will depend entirely on your carrier and your driver.Overall, this unit is a great value and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.To get a fifth star, it would have to break down to be more manageable.

UPDATE 12/7/15: A year + later these couches are holding up great and still look just as new as when I bought them even though they get a lot of use. We find them to be very comfortable and they barely have any denting in the cushions. Again, I am very happy with this purchase, especially considering the price point. Amazed by the quality of these couches, and how easy they were to put together!SPECIFICS: The couches are very sleek and modern. My husband is 6'0 and is able to recline comfortably on his seat. They recline in 2 different position: one in a sitting position with your feet up, and then the other is fully extended with feet up. The only drawback on the fully extended is that it reclines a little too far back, to where you need a pillow to prop your head up if you're reading or watching TV. For a nap though, they are amazing! All reclining is done by pushing back against the backrest and then to bring it up you simply sit up and it moves back to the original position on its own.They have 4 cup holders total, and two storage compartments! Big enough to store throws and remote controls.ASSEMBLY: The couches basically come already assembled. The only thing you need to do is snap the back seat portion onto the chairs by sliding them into position. You will hear them snapping together as you slide. They were very light-weight as well.DELIVERY: This may vary depending on which company provides the shipping, but our couches were brought inside our house by two people from the shipping company! It was great. And the shipping was FREE with Prime. You can't beat that.QUALITY: They feel very soft and the padding is very comfortable. I can't speak yet as to how well they will hold up but I will update after several months.
