Good boot but a little tight which causes some discomfort, despite same size as other pairs of Palladiums
Got these at a fair price and love my other canvas Palladiums (on 3rd pair of those), so am content with the purchase despite a couple design/fitting flaws.I bought 10.5 because the Pampas at 10.5 fit me perfectly. I have slightly wider feet with a high arch. These ones are a little tight around the tops of my feet and the widest part where the toes begin, whatever the technical term for that is.My theory is that canvas Palladiums have more stretch and room to move around the toes, but being wet-weather boots these have a hard toe so it clamps down on me and after 8 hours on my feet it does hurt. I might still have to break them in more but for now they're a take-dog-out-in-snow pair, not a work pair. The other flaw for me is the interior of the lip, or whatever that's called. There are folds of fabric inside the boot where the sides meet the lip, and if you lace the boots up tightly these folds rub against both sides of your feet and are very uncomfortable. So the solution is to loosen up a bit, or wear thicker socks which don't allow much of any other room when your foot's in the boot because the size I bought is the perfect one with the looser canvas boots but not these tighter ones.So buy a 1/2 size up from whatever you wear with canvas Palladiums and report back. Otherwise, the water proofing YES does work and the STYLE is sweet and the TREAD is present if not perfect and it doesn't cause little swastikas in the snow behind you.

Completely waterproof, AMAZING grip to the tread, comfortable for full days of intense hiking.
I needed to find sturdy, comfortable, waterproof hiking boots for a trip to Scotland, and these boots performed even better than expected. I normally wear a woman's size 9 or 9.5 and the womens 9/mens 7.5 fit very well. I hiked over a wide variety of terrain in these and was very impressed with the tread. Mud, gravel, wet stone, pavement, grass, steep slopes; these boots gripped everything except for slimy, algae covered rocks. There really wasn't a "breaking in" period, they were comfortable from the start. The only discomfort I had from wearing them was at the ankle, where the material connecting the tongue to the rest of the boot bunched slightly and left my upper ankle a little sore from pressure when the boot was laced all the way up. They are completely waterproof all the way to the top of the boot as well; I walked up and down streambeds and through mud for hours and stayed completely dry. As seen in other reviews, small stones do tend to get caught in the treads frequently, but I didn't have any trouble popping them out.

Looks/feels great - but runs large + makes feet hot
These boots aren't just weather-proof, they're insulated with an additional layer on the inside. So be prepared for sweaty feet. Also, I got a size 11 (which is the same size as my other Palladium boots) yet it's noticeably larger than my other pairs are. I'm not sure why. I'd like to replace it with a 10.5, but that size isn't currently available, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

Quality!
Okay where do I start with this one so they make your feet sweat really bad! Water still gets in so definitely not waterproof! The worst part is after just wearing them for 2 months they started falling apart I bought them at the time for the rainy season would definitely recommend these now worth the price what are Red Wings or why something that you could try on and take back I couldn't return mine cuz the deadline was like a month anyways I would not recommend them!

All looks, no show
This review is about the product, not seller. Shipping was fast and product delivered as promised. However, the quality of the product itself is questionable. Note I am not a heavy user and used these boots mostly for rainy days only a few times per month. Yet, at around month 8-9 these "waterproof" started leaking water into my feet, right around where the leather and plastic are put together. There's no visible detachment or obvious rupture, but whenever the boots get wet, water inevitably leaks through. For waterproof boots, this is already a fatal flaw.I was hoping to use these for the snowy months but now it's clear they didn't even last casual rain usage. If you are all about style and not quality, these boots are for you. If you want both, you'll have to look somewhere else.

Ridiculously difficult to put on
In terms of material quality and aesthetics, the boots meet expectations. They are comfortable enough, that is, if you can manage to get them on. The footbed is narrow, but the shaft and counter/heel area are comically narrow and rigid. My feet are moderately wide, but not to the point that it should take 10 minutes to force them inside the boot. It feels like trying to put on boots that are 3 sizes too small. Even with a good shoe horn, you'll struggle. After wearing them for a day and finding that my feet felt fine overall, the fit only being a little tight once the boots were actually on, I decided to make some modifications. I cut the webbing between the tongue and shaft/body, sacrificing some waterproofing in hopes of being able to pull the tongue out further and slide my feet in and out more easily - it didn't make much of a difference. The boots don't seem to breath very well, but I was prepared for that. Wish I had taken some of the other reviews more seriously.

The Boot I was looking for
I needed a boot that was nicer looking than my winter hunting boots, but still provided the water proof protection and comfort that I got from them. These fit the bill perfectly. I have walked through several inches of water a few times and no issue they are very comfortable and we're that way right out of the box. Have done a few days where I put few miles on them and they were great. They are nice and warm too since they are waterproof. And they actually have a good gripping sole with aggressive tread unlike most other fancy shoes which was a big sticking point for me. I wear these bad boys everywhere. Highly recommend. Per the recommendation of others I got my normal shoe size and they fit true to size.

Keeps your feet dry but slips on smooth wet surfaces
These shoes keep your feet dry and warm in rain and snow. However, the shoes lose traction on wet, smooth surfaces (like wet metallic or stone surfaces). I almost lost my balance on multiple occasions. I expect a rain boot to have a much better grip in wet conditions to prevent unexpected slips. That is the reason why I'm giving these shoes only 3 stars.

Narrow 'throat' unsuitable for wider feet
There's nothing wrong with the quality of these boots: they are well made and definitely as waterproof as one needs for winter and spring dog-walking. But, having given them a long trial and many walks, I am giving them up because they are not designed for people with wide feet. I am normally a size 5 or under but, a size 5 in these was impossible to get on so I went a size up. Once they are on, the fit for the foot isn't an issue but the very narrow and inflexible 'throat made these a nightmare to get on and off. More energy and strain doing that than involved in the dog walking. I'm very disappointed because they are not cheap and I assumed they would 'relax over time but they have not. So they'll be going on eBay
