Luxo LC1AWT LC 22W Circline Fluorescent with 14W CFL Task Light, 45" Powder-Coated Arm with External Springs, Edge Clamp, White

There’s no handle on the lamp shield to easily move it into different positions. I imagine the shield will get hot after lights have been on. I use it on a 2 1/2’ X 3 1/2’ drawing table. I can’t reach the on/off switch sitting in my chair. My old one had both switches on top of the lamp shade. The old one also had an electrical outlet on the base. A USB port would have been nice. My old one was 30+ years old, hoping this one lasts half that time.

I had a Luxo lamp before that lasted many years. I was a little leary of this new Luxo because there is not a lot of information as to what happened to the original company. But having used this lamp for my work over the last couple of months, I am very pleased with it. One issue is fitting the fluorescent bulb in place for the first time is not comfortable.

Had one decades ago - so glad I found it again now

I bought this to replace a Luxo I'd had for years. THAT was great. This one? The fluorescent bulb flickers constantly--and that's maddening--and it's hard to turn on in the first place. Usually have to give it half a dozen clicks. The adjustment that is supposed to hold the light in an upright position is at its tightest, but the lamp always sags down. Finally, I don't find that it gives as much light as the old Luxo. Very sorry to have purchased this. Avoid!
