This pin is perfect for Star Trek TNG costume, and the pin backs are sturdy and held up to my clumsy attempts to put them on the pins. Being made of metal, it's on the heavier side, but it didn't drag my shirt down or anything like that.

Very nice quality. I purchased a similar Klingon pin from an off brand that used a magnet backing. I’m not sure which style I like more for mounting. The pins seem more stable but the magnet feels more flush to the clothing.

This looked great, was a great weight. But unfortunately, I lost right before the event and did not get to wear it with my costume. It would have looked great, adding authenticity to my outfit.

You never know what something is going to really be like until you get your hands on it sometimes, and this pin is was like that for me. It's huge! I had a Star Trek pin much like this one years ago, but somewhere along the way I lost it, and it was an appropriate size, from what I remember, until I got this one and took it out of the package. I know it says 2 inches, but you don't really realize how, ahem, big 2 inches is until something like this gives you a different perspective on things. The one I had years ago seemed small compared to this one. Very solid build. Great price. I like that it has 2 pins on the back to secure it in place instead of just one. I recommend this to all my nerdy, geeky Star Trek fan friends :D

Real metal so it is sturdy and shiny. However it is pretty heavy and will pull down thin shirts. Uses 2 pins to attach, that will leave holes in your shirt.

I have done cosplay before the term was coined. The badge exudes quality and where I pinned it may seem a curious choice: on my Seventh Doctor jacket. No one was noticed, but no geeks have seen it yet, only non-geek people. (Of course, what does one expect at a Hunger Games-themed wedding?) My own little giggle.
