Great product, misleading advertising
Important note for anyone considering this item: the first item, Stitchsmart 2 stand for $170, does not include the LED light and pattern holder even though they are pictured in the description. If you want those you have to purchase them separately by purchasing the item labeled "Art Deco" for $120. That means for the whole setup you will be spending about $300. While the product description for the $120 accessories claims that the stand is included, this is a lie. I nearly deducted a whole star for this. Now we can get on with how cool this stand is. My first impressions are very positive. The frame holder does accommodate my 11" Q-snap frame (see picture.) I will note that it's probably a bit less secure with Q-snaps than a standard hoop would be, but it works fine for my purposes. This stand has functionality that many do not - it rotates 360 degrees so you can easily reach the back of your work. It is pretty adjustable to suit my height and the angle of the frame. It appears to be of very sturdy construction. It's easy to slide under the couch, it's easy to move. (Note: make sure you have at least 3" clearance under your couch or it might not fit.) I love the accessories which I purchased separately. They are of very high quality, very adjustable and sturdy! The LED is fantastic, clear daylight, the perfect amount of light and can be set to any angle. (The light has a much bigger diameter than the product description of 3" - it's about 7".) I haven't used the magnifier yet but it's fun to look through, very clear and detailed. The pattern holder is so secure I think it would even hold a tablet, if you could find a way to protect the tablet from the teeth. $120 is a lot for accessories but they feel substantial and really well-made so I do not feel ripped off. This is the perfect little stitching set up. I'm glad I made the investment.

Versatile & easy to use
I truly like this stand. I wasnโt sure at first because it requires certain frames but it is also great with the magnetic wooden frames that I use for Mill Hill projects. I removed the bar that holds frames and just use the stand clamp on the wooden frame directly. See pictures. The height is adjustable which is a plus. It is lightweight but it doesnโt move when I flip the frame to tie off thread. Thatโs another plus - I donโt have to loosen and retighten to flip. I bought the magnifier light and chart holder to go with it (separate purchase). I also bought during Prime days which lessened the damage on the wallet. It was very easy to put together.

Great stand!
I have had this for a while now and it is so great! I had been eyeing this stand for a long time but was worried because of the price. I have been getting wrist pain holding up my cross stitch frames (scroll frames and some q snaps) and have tried many other stands and was always disappointed! With lots of screws that can strip and so many minor adjustments to make they are always a headache. This one is so great. Just open up the jaw and place your frame inside, then tighten. You can adjust the angle, flip it to look at the back of your piece, and adjust the height all without moving from your chair! It slides under my couch and appears sturdy, yet is lightweight. I have been using it currently with an 11โ q snap and a clip on magnifier and light. The magnifier is supposed to clip to edge of desks, but holds onto the back of the frame easily, and I shove my scissors into one of the holes where you are supposed to be able to put a light or a stand for a pattern holder. It works great! This is by far my favorite frame so far and totally worth the price tag!

Awesome stand and magnifying light! I love it!
I have this stand and the magnifying light attachment. Love it! Holds my Q-Snaps very well and swivels easily so I can get to the back of my work. It is very sturdy and slides right under my couch or chair in front of me, so I can pull it close to rest my back against the sofa or chair. It is also light enough to pick up and carry to another location. The Daylight light kit, that you can purchase separately, is excellent for seeing the true colors of your floss and fabric. I have all my needle minders and magnet ties attached to the frame, so those don't get lost, too! I had tried a wooden stand but it was too heavy and not sturdy. The design of this frame keeps it firmly on the ground with no wobbling at all. You can adjust the height up or down on the frame and the holder can also adjust the angle up or down. I am so happy I went with this even though it was a bit more expensive than some of the wooden stands. It was well worth it!

Great stand, but they should sell replacement parts.
I love this stand, but I do wish they would sell replacement parts. The first one I had, the clamp started cracking which meant that it would no longer hold a frame. I called the company and they said no, they cannot sell me just a replacement clamp. So I bought a new stand, and now that second one has broken in the same way. It lasted me 4 years, which is honestly pretty good for something made of plastic that I use every day, but it seems wasteful to have to replace the entire stand when the only thing that really needs replacement is one relatively small part. Other than that, this is a great stand for stitching.

Very functional.
This device will hold your needlework firmly in any position while you work leaving your hands free to stitch. It was a snap to assemble. Very functional. I looked online at all types of frame holders and this one suited my needs best because it sits on the floor and its legs scoot easily under my chair. Also, the frame rotates 360 degrees so you can get to the underside of the fabric easily and you can adjust the tilt in Every direction. Also, price wise, it was among the least expensive. Iโve used it for about 40 hours and the only minor criticism I have is that I wish the jaws would accept more of the frame making it easier to use a larger frame. Would definitely recommend this item to serious needle crafters.

An honest review
I bought this stand 4 years ago and have used it 3+ hours almost every single day (yes, Iโm an avid needlepointer). About 3 years into use the height adjustment screw started cracking. It never fully broke, but because it was cracked the hold was weakened so every few days I had to loosen the - oddly - very tight screw fixture and raise it back up. The downward movement was imperceptible until I realized my hoop was almost touching my legs. Last week the plastic bit covering the metal bit holding the hoop clamp to the top of the stand cracked and a small piece fell off. I noticed my hoop was wobbling a bit and when I turned it around to look I saw the crack. My husband looked at both issues and tried to jerry-rig the height screw, but no joy. When he saw the latest plastic crack he said โbuy another one.โ So I did. I think 4 years of overall great functionality is totally worth $95! Itโs a very stable stand, but very light weight. Hubby bought me an 8 inch lighted magnifying glass with a c-clamp that fits great on this stand. Even with the extra weight of the magnifying glass I never had a problem with the stability of the stand. The clamp that holds my needlepoint hoop has a metal tooth locking mechanism to adjust the angle of the hoop. And then the whole thing turns 360degrees for easy access to the back of my work. And the top of the stand that holds the hoop pivots side to side - possibly 360degrees, but Iโve never tried moving it that farโฆ I love this stand, and as I said, Iโve gone ahead and bought a second one now that the first is slowly dying. Itโs worth every penny!

Love this stand.
I love it. It works for my large needlepoint. I wish it had small wheels as I heave to push it with my feet to get it away from my chair. But it still works perfect and I would buy it again.

A stand that is easy to set up and good to use for hoops and qsnaps
Received my stand within 10 days from order via DHL. It was easy to set up and feels very sturdy due to its wide base design. It is also quite lightweight making it easy to move from room to room.
