Yes, I think it's pale but still a pretty pink. Looks great in low light and on tan skin.

Does this polish need a base coat?

Weirdly I don’t think they recommend a base coat but I always use one. I only use this Essie gel polish as it’s absolutely amazing! It lasts longer than normal polish. I use OPI Original Nail Envy Nail Strengthener 15 ml as my base coat and my nail are in a super strong state. Hope this helps x
