I found that the foam padding around the loop handle part was uncomfortable and actually made it harder to hold the leash so I removed it and now the leash is very comfortable and works well. It's a good width and weight for my 11 lb. chihuahua mix.The foam padding around the handle had actually started to tear and come off on its own so I just decided to help it on its way and remove it completely, and since it was bothering me to begin with, it turned out to be a massive improvement.I've been using this leash for 9 months and had no problems with it since removing the foam padding. It is still in perfect condition and working out well. I feel very safe and confident when walking my dog that the leash will hold up under my dog's normal pulling or if I have to suddenly pull her out of harms way from something.I ordered the 1/4 inch width, 6 ft. long purple leash. The actual width of the leash is a bit wider than 1/4 inch but smaller than a 1/2 inch so I'm not sure which width it is. All I can tell you is that I ordered the 1/4 inch width and it is working out well.I would recommend this leash and if the foam handle pad bugs you, it can be easily removed.

The 10 foot holds my 80 lb great pyrenees. Got this leash so she could have a bit more slack and sniff all the trees without dragging me from the sidewalk. It's long enough, but not so long that you're tripping over it and getting tangled. The handle is super cushioned and doesn't seem like it's cheaply made. Great for the price!

This is a good leash for dog of medium or large size. I find the round construction to be more comfortable than the flat type when grabbing the leash in the middle as one might do when approaching another dog or a narrow path next to a road.A very good feature of this leash is the soft rubber cushion in the handle loop. Unfortunately this is also a weak point of the leash as the soft rubber breaks up and falls off. If it were not for this I would give it a "5".

My dog occasionally pulls and stops and I hated on the previous leash how sudden and jarring it felt. The cushioned handle is nice, but there is also a little bounce in the rope that helps give me an extra second to grip before I'm pulled.

Easy to hold and very sturdy to walk my chow chows and Labrador. I recently just bought a second one 8ft long was the perfect length to walk my dogs especially to go down the stairs

I waited a couple of months to write this review to see how the leash would hold up to the abuse I knew my pooch would throw at it. I have a 40 lb Pomsky who goes full Husky on his walks and LOVES to take the lead. I am using this leash with a harness and I clip the leash to its chest attachment to help turn him around when the length of the leash runs out. The leash has held up very well so far. It's not fraying, shedding, or wearing at all yet and the clip is still holding strong. The extra padding on the handle is a nice addition but it is cumbersome making it awkward to hold. The padding also doesn't cover the handle completely, leaving gaps at the ends which adds to the awkwardness. It's due to this poorly executed padding that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. It is good enough that I won't replace it until it is no longer safe due to wear and tear.

The Cushing grip really help when the dog pulls. The rope is strong and the hardware is heavy duty. Only downside are the rubber covers over where the loops are sowed, keep moving out of place

It’s comfortable to hold, looks good, and has a comfortable amount of length. I’ve had no worries about the quality. My dog doesn’t chew so I haven’t put that to the test, but it can put up with some tough loving.

Think this is a great lead, just writing a review to draw attention to the length of the lead in that 6 feet is much longer than a standard lead and I wish I would have measured! Don't like using it as have very little control next to a road. Will be purchasing another at either 4 or 5 feet.

I have a 5 month border collie, he’s now 14kg and loves chasing cars. we used this lead since the very beginning we had him and it has proven to be very reliable and durable. our dog still occasionally bites the lead, but I need to say that after 3 months of doing it, it barely affected the lead. will definitely buy another one of these at some point

It has a really comfy handle and gives the tiniest bit stretch when pulled. I'm pleased and my other lead which is extendable and not strong enough for my pooch will be handed to the charity shop.

I’ve bought two now. Comfortable to use but the rubber cover that protects the stitching slips up the lead on both purchases. Still good though if not a little annoying.
