Very smooth, although it is a micro point-Uni-ball Signo RT1 Rubber Grip & Click Retractable Micro & Extra Fine Point Gel Pens -0.38mm-black

I previously used pilot ultra fine gel pens .36mm, but 3 out of 5 from the last pack failed because of the common issue with the roller ball. They were useless and leaky after that, so I decided to look for another comparable option.These pens are understated, minimalist, and write very well. The feel of the tip on paper is a bit rough, but that's probably because finer tips means a sharper point of contact. That didn't bother me, but ymmv.Also, for those who like even finer lines, they have a .28mm version, which are also excellent.

These are the best everyday writing pens you can buy! Not to be confused with the standard Uniball Signo, the RT1 has perfectly consistent ink flow -- I used to be a diehard .5mm user and with these you can go down to a .38 or lower no problem because the thin line is not prone to ink cutout. The standard Signos are nice pens, but I have found them to be more clunky and prone to ink cutout.The Signo RT1 has a smooth action, sleek design, and is fairly durable so long as you don't drop it on its tip. The only real downside to these pens is that they take slightly longer to dry than other similar pens and have a tendency to smudge when highlighted.

I've been using these for a while now and they haven't let me down. The writing is smooth, neat and consistent. No problems with function or ink. Definitely Japanese quality. Highly recommended!

I love the super fine gel point on this pen. The only down side is that it does run out of inc pretty fast. But it is not too expenssive so I keep buying it. If you are into super fine tip, this is a great pen.

I like the feel of the pen and use it as a office pen.

Favorite pen, utilized for years. Will always order for future use. Be careful in letting others borrow these, sometimes they aren't returned 😀

They write well, but they get empty wayyyy to quickly. I will try to find alternatives next time (which is pretty soon) that I buy some.
