NANIWA Nagura Surface Grinding Stone"IRODORI",60 x 30 x 20mm (#220)

This stone was typical in size and use compared to other Nagura stones that I use. One reviewer apparently did not understand its intended purpose - thinking it too tiny to be of value as a sharpening stone. They were both correct and misinformed. This stone is meant to be friable and be used to form a paste with water on the surface of a harder stone - then the combination is used to hone the edge upon which you are working.

When I opened the package I thought that I was missing something? Had to do a double look inside of the bag. These stones are so small that I was laughing and thinking that this is a joke. Do yourself a favor and look at the whetstone by Stone Pebble before you buy this stone.

I'm using this to raise a slurry on a Shapton 12000, making it a bit easier to use without catching an edge. I'm happy with the results.

”小さい”というレビューを多く見かけました。私は理容師で日本剃刀の研ぎ師でもあります　参考にしていただきたく書き込みをしておりますまず　名倉とは　砥石とセットで使うものです　これ単体で使うことを前提として作られてはいない＃12000の名倉ですから砥石は＃8000～#12000の砥石に使いますそれ以下の粗い砥石にも使えますが名倉の耐久性が落ちます（粗削りされるからです）実際使ってみましたが天然名倉特上天上より荒いです　本山と#12000で砥汁だして剃刀研ぐと粗目の粒子が出ることから粗いのだと思います　やはり天然の名倉天上もしくはコマの購入を強くお勧めしますそれでも購入したからには使いたいという方へ、一番良い愛称は＃3000の人造砥石とこの名倉で剃刀であれば下地研ぎ　包丁だと鏡面仕上げ　ナイフだと細かい錆取りに抜群だと思う
