Escape From Absolom (aka No Escape)

It took me a little bit of searching to find "No Escape" as this movie was originally titled. I didn't really bother to do the research to figure out why they changed its name? So weird! But, I liked this movie back in the 90's and wondered whatever happened to it. It's too bad I can't seem to find it for sale on any streaming platforms, though I am most grateful to have found it on Blu-Ray here! I've decided to rename this movie one more time. From now on this Blu-Ray flick shall be known as Blu-Ray Liotta! Thanks for reading! Have a nice day! :)

No Escape has been turned into this title thankfully on blue ray for the first time. This little gem of a movie stars Ray Liotta as a prisoner who always relives his past misdeeds as a soldier. with Lance Hendrickson and Ernie Hudson perfectly cast as fellow inmates living in fear of the outsiders , a rough and tough bunch of killer outlaws who dominate the island prison . All Liotta wants to do is get back to the mainland and expose the killings of women and children he was ordered to do in the military . An action filled movie that delivers . With great amusing dialog from Stuart Wilson as the head of the outsiders this movie is in my top 25 of all time. .Buy it, you wont be sorry !!!

its says region B but plays on my PC and home bluray player. i almost didnt buy but thanks to the reviewers for informing that this will play on region A players.

I love 'No Escape' and I'm over the moon to see this film finally transferred to blu-ray! A mix of sci-fi and lord of the flies with a top notch cast. Star of the show without a doubt is 'Marek' as played by Stuart Wilson. He just steals every scene that he is in. Should be said that despite Amazon claiming this disc is region 2, it is in fact region free!

This is the DVD version. Love this movie. I remember it as "No Escape", but know this movie is the same. Ray Liotta is wonderful. Violent and funny and relevant.Quality audio and video, just remember this movie is over 20 years old.

This movie used to be called “No Escape”, and I could never find it. On the Blu-Ray release it had been renamed “Escape from Absolome”. Took me forever to find.

I like this movie, and I purchased this dvd disc to replace a much older vcr tape version.

This is a fantastic film one of the 90s best ones in my opinion. This bluray is fantastic and has the Australian title on the cover as you would expect from umbrella. However if you take the cover out and flip it over it had the no escape title artwork that the film went by outside the land of auz. Well worth the asking price and a must own in any 90s action fan collection

This is a film I have waited a long time to get on blu-ray. It is expensive but worth it. The picture is a vast improvement over the DVD. It is also in the original wide screen ratio at last.

I was waiting for this blu ray since the format has launched.As film itself it's clearly was underrated at the time it came out in the theatres.As of picture quality is great overall,what is good about this transfer is that its not altered by dnr or color timing change.It is very close to original.

confirmo que lleva castellano y que se ve genial, el disco es un BD50 y la caratula es reversible, es un poco cara, pero es una buena peli de aventuras y accion y merece la pena ya que tardará muchisimo en salir en españa, si es que sale, un saludo
