Pool pump stopped whining.
I was thinking that the pump had seen its last days until I saw a vid on this capacitor. Triple check your pump model and preferably find out the exact specs on the cap body before buying. Install was not difficult, but research was.

It was an exact match to the one on a Flotec pump. The capacitor turned out not to be the problem, but it deserved to be replaced.
