Primal Fear - Richard Gere [DVD]

This is a really good film with really good acting and a brilliant ending, well worth watching

Excellent movie & acting! Was very interesting and would definitely watch again. Richard gere & Edward Norton are excellent.

Ed Norton is a great actor

There are few actors about whom I can honestly say that I've never seen them in a film I haven't enjoyed. Richard Gere is one of the few, and this film is no exception. Brilliant acting from Gere and Richard Norton and a William Diehl courtroom drama as good as anything from Grisham make this 2 hours of riveting viewing. I bought this new for £1.33 + £1.26 p&p. Amazing value - but checking on Amazon only 2 weeks later shows it's now £6.57!!! Why the difference I don't know, but the film itself is great. Update 7/11/14 - and 1 day later it's now £12.93!!!! Ridiculous price increase. It's good, but not worth £12.93. Update 15/11/14 - it's now £14.99!!!!! I wouldn't touch any DVD for that price unless it was a box set such as Game of Thrones!! I would downrate my stars, but as a measure of my satisfaction with the film rather than the value, it still rates 5.

Well made film, really good acting. A bit of sexual tension between the two attorneys, and you will not see a better thought through ending. What's not to like.

Good film, great performance from Norton. But worth getting on 4k?It's patchy. Some scenes look great, with greater detail than the blu ray - the books behind Alfre Woodard's judge for example. But it's far from a quantum leap, and some scenes with a lot of motion, such as the panning over the city at the start, are definitely no better than the blu ray. Not sure this one is worth it unless you only have it on DVD.

Primal Fear is a masterpiece! Superb acting from Edward Norton who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his brilliant portrayal of murder suspect Aaron and Richard Gere as his suave, confident defence attorney who seems to be the only one convinced of his innocence.This film really stands the test of time some 10 years on with a great opening scene that gets your interest right from the start! No nipping out to put the kettle on with this one!!A 'must have' if you're a Gere or Norton fan!

I love this film - Gere is as he always is a good actor and Norton plays his part brilliantly. I haven't seen any film like it or any other actor play this part as well.I think it is going to be a marmite type film = either love it or hate it but I love it. I like a lot of stuff that Gere is in and I'd be interested to watch more films with Norton cast. I enjoyed this film and enjoyed the twist at the end.I would recommend it.

Pristine 4k transfer and a MUCH-IMPROVED audio soundstage. A stunning classic Hitchcock-type suspense story that is both superbly-acted and masterfully written. Get it... it's worth it!

Parfait

A typical American movie with jury system and a star lawyer whose client is a smart psycopath, who out smarts the lawyer and the justice system where he took into his own hand to rectify justice.........good for him! The movie is old, but very interesting for anyone who is interesting in personality disorder and manipulative people. In this movie everyone is manipulative and dishonest, both the lawyer and prosecutor with their ongoing flirtations of power against each other............
