Comedy Double Feature: National Lampoon's Vacation / National Lampoon's European Vacation

I'm so glad that these two films are being sold together. I love each of them. These are definitely the kind of movies you never get tired of seeing, I've seen both of them enough to know. It's unusual for a sequel to be as good as the original but in my opinion European Vacation is just as good as Family Vacation, in some ways maybe better. These films don't try to be something they're not. They are just plain and simple laugh out loud funny. When you have all the jokes and gags memorized and they can still make you laugh, that's really saying something. There are also some great commentaries included featuring Chevy Chase.Jennifer K. The National Lampoon series is one of my favorites.....if you grew up in the 80’s-90’s this was a staple VHS in the collection.....this dvd was clean & arrived sealed in plastic....beware it’s only one dvd so you just have to flip it over to watch the other feature....great price & great product!

Both movies are funny but not even close to the laugh-out-loud Christmas Vacation movie.

Nat'l Lampoon Vacation is one of my most favorite movies. I love it. And even tho' I didn't like the European Vacation quite as much, it was still pretty good too. I will be watching them again.

This is the funniest of the vacation movies. It is laugh out loud! It has to rank with the top 10 funniest movies ever. You get to see four European countries in a humorous light. Plus you get the original Vacation to Wally World which is also full of laughs and the young Christie Brinkley.

What can you say after you say Chevy Chase? Everything you would expect from a silly pointless but amusing pair of comedies.

One of the best comedies of the 80's. I had to own them! Now I will watch them with my kids and share the experience.

This double sided, Region 1 disc contains the first 2 vacation movies. In the first film Clark Griswold, played with hilarity by Chevy Chase, drags his long suffering family across America for some summer fun at Wally World. In the second movie he repeats the experience across Europe. Watch out for cameo appearances by Robbie Coltrane, Eric Idle and Mel Smith.Chevy Chase's dead pan expression is a comic turn and always has me in stitches.

Purchasing the entire series is well worth the money spent. Personally I feel Christmas Vacation is the best one of the lot.

There is only one movie on this CD. European vacation is missing.
