Not the best gloss finish But Very low odour Very quick drying Good coverage No yellowing !!! No yellowing ! ! This is my second purchase. First was 2021 and my doors are still brilliant white. Not yellowing . This will be my first choice when needed. A brilliant product

Arrived without any spills or damage. This paint is fab. Easy to apply and good coverage. Long lasting and no yellowing. Brushes wash and paint tray out easily.

I am an Asthmatic, and this paint did not affect me in any way. There is a slight odour, but regarding my Asthma, I'm fine. I used this paint on my Internal doors. I used a brush for the recesses and a four-inch roller for the flat bits, no problems all round, very nice finish, I'm well pleased.

Took a gamble when ordering this as I wasn't sure which paint to get and decided due to a few reviews. Arrived on time and fortunately hadn't spilled or been damaged due to it being in two boxes. The Amazon box was handed to me with the this way up arrow in pointing upwards which was right but when i opened that box the paint was in another box and on it's side as the this way up arrow on the inner box was pointing left. Not too impressed with that. Putting something in a box the right way up isn't rocket science. Anyway...I have painted one door and door frame with the gloss paint and am very impressed with it. It is thin and does drip a lot so do take care and put sheets or paper down etc. It covers well and is incredibly quick drying. It looks excellent once it is dry and looks like it is hard wearing. Am hoping there's going to be enough paint left to do the remaining 6 doors as it hardly used anything to paint the first door. A very good deal considering it's 2.5 litres for £19.00. Will definitely buy again if needed.

Really impressed with this paint. I used it on a mix of skirting boards and an old metal radiator, and it went on smoothly on both surfaces. The coverage is excellent — I only needed two coats to get a really clean, brilliant white finish. Because it’s water‑based, there’s barely any smell and the brushes wash out easily, which is a huge bonus. It dries fairly quickly too, so you can get the job done without waiting around for ages between coats. The gloss finish looks fresh and modern without being overly shiny, and it seems to resist yellowing so far. Overall, a high‑quality paint that’s easy to work with and gives a great result. Definitely recommend!

Great paint to work with and good coverage I used both a brush and roller was good with both

Retired professional house painter reviewing this. It's ok but not that great. The key to getting good results is all in the amount of prep work you do. Sanding, filling and undercoating well will give great results if the paint is good enough. In this age of acrylic and low odour, it's hard to get a good finish with out having multiple coats (unless it's white on white) as it just does not give the same level of finish as oil based paints. I very rarely had to do 2 coats of gloss as oil based doesn't have as good opacity as the undercoat (Dulux was the best) was really opaque. This Johnstone's gloss is thick as yoghurt and you have to push it rather than paint with it. You can't work it too much as you get streaking very easily. I really don't like no-drip gloss as I was trained to use the real stuff and you could achieve a very high level of shine from it and no runs if you know how to apply it. It has very low odour, dries quickly and is ok at this price point (which is really good)
