Probably old battery was dead

It was cheaper to buy this new thermometer than it was to buy batteries for my old one. The accuracy is about 2⁰ off but it's always off by that much, no matter if my body temperature goes up or down so I am able to account for that. It is SLOW. And the beeps when it is done are pretty quiet.

It was easy to use and came with an extra set of batteries.

I found this to be hard to read for people who have trouble seeing especially in senior citizens who usually need print to be larger. But if you good vision, it is acceptable and good.

I purchased this as an affordable option to check my temperature during Covid. It works well, is easy to read, comes with a case and an extra battery. It takes a bit longer to get a reading, but it does the job.
