NOW Supplements, L-Citrulline 750 mg, Amino Acid, 180 Veg Caps

I know when I read reviews and see 5 stars I think...ok...is this guy just experiencing placebo??? No. This is legit. This leads to an increase in clear-mindedness (for me) within 15 minutes. There is pep in my step. Almost like I have more breath in my body. I'm huffing and puffing less. I'm only 25 but I have sustained some serious damage to my body from selenium toxicity from supplements that has affected me drastically. But this helps. I have read it helps boost arginine more than arginine, as arginase in the liver "taxes" 80% of the arginine you eat/take and destroys it. Citrulline bypasses the liver, hence leading to a noticeable increase in Nitric Oxide, which is what is giving you that feeling of oxygenation. Citrulline is also used as a life-saving medication for those with urea cycle mutations/genetic diseases. As citrulline is used to convert the most toxic metabolite ever, ammonia, into the safer urea to be excreted. I imagine this could also play somewhat of a role for how you feel on this stuff. Look, don't buy a million supplements that don't work. Stick with what works. This works. I stack it with 2.5 g taurine, 500mg glycine, 1.5 g tyrosine, a TINY amount of zinc (5-10% of RDA) for NMDAR regulation (decreases anxiety), a TINY amount of beef liver (for copper and b vitamins), and I will be using beetroot powder too pretty soon.

First, I buy Now products when possible. They are all independently tested and work. I’ve been buying Now L-Citruline for a couple years and it works great for me evidenced by the veins popping out of my arms when I take it. It’s impact on nitric oxide relaxing the arteries and veins is important.

I bought this product to counteract vasoconstriction from another medicine I'm taking. Unlike a lot of reviewers I am a woman, so not really interested in some of the other benefits of this pill, but it certainly affects blood flow, in my opinion. Too soon to say if it helps my long-term issues, I plan to update the review with more information. I have a fitbit and my heart rate is all over the place (both higher and lower than normal while doing the usual range of activity or rest) so it's hard to tell at this point which is from this pill, if any. However, I can feel blood pounding in my face and feet/ankles etc, and my scalp is tingling. I'm pretty sure this is from this supplement. It's not unpleasant exactly, but it's odd. On the upside, the pain I usually have from spider veins is virtually gone, and I have a weird rush of energy after taking 1 pill 5 hours ago. I don't recommend taking this at night, btw, I think it will keep you awake.

NOW Foods supplements are a brand I trust based on experience and their independent testing. My 60+ husband started taking this a few years ago when he started working out more. He takes 1 capsule a day and said this supplement has helped his endurance during a workout. He hasn't experienced any side effects, and the pill size are easy to swallow. He said he will continue to take NOW's L-Citrulline. Check with your doctor before starting any new supplement to make sure it doesn't interact with any other meds or supplements you are taking.

A really great quality L-Citrulline in easy to take capsules..

I got this after reading Dr. Mike Simpson's "Honed: Finding Your Edge As A Man Over Forty" (good read if you're in that demographic, by the way). I'm hardly a doctor, clinician, or scientist, but I've distinctly felt something that seemed to be missing lately. Nothing dramatic, but definitely there. Placebo effect? Maybe, who knows, but either way it's working for me.

Think it works well.

I didn't used it yet, just received the order. Capsules filling is not properly done because powder is out of the capsules in all around the bottle. Will update the results later
