mine was busted, and this slipped right in. i have an ancient nuvi that will be getting replaced soon. however, for its last ties with me, the mount was in bad shape. I checked out the options, and this was the one that made the most sense, it was cheap, it worked well, and now my unit doesn;t fall on the floor all the time. what could be better?

My Garmin Nuvi 2555LM fit perfectly into this suction cup mount. I attached it, and then mounted the unit to a mirror in my home. Two days later it was still stuck firmly to the mirror. I took it out to my car yesterday morning, mounted it to the windshield, and drove 3 hours to Houston. Ten hours later I drove back home. Today the suction mount is still stuck firmly to the windshield glass. The ball mount held the Gamin firmly at the angle I set if even over rough railroad tracks and pot holes.So, my personal experience differs from those who say the mount broke, fell off the window, or was otherwise unsatisfactory. I'm very pleased that such an inexpensive mount has performed beautifully.

I swapped this out for the universal holder that had the gooie sticky stuff on the back that slid down my windshield when it got hot out and just made a mess of the inside of my windshield. It took forever to clean it up. Never again will I go back to a sticky gooie device.

From time to time I take my Garmin with me on trips where I'll use it in rental vehicles. Last month I accidentally left my stock Garmin mount/bracket on the windshield of a rental (all the way in Salt Lake City) and didn't realize it until I got back to the east coast. My options were to ask a friend in Utah to drive an hour to the airport to retrieve it from the lost and found and then spend more bucks to ship it to me or to buy from ChargerCity. I think option A would have ended up costing more (in gas, time, and shipping costs). So, I ordered from ChargerCity and received the replacement in a very short time. This replacement is not originally manufactured by Garmin, however it is a good facsimile of the OEM's product. The suction force of this replacement is actually a little bit better than what Garmin ships as stock. The bracket itself fits fairly well (but sure to securely interlock your 2555LMT with the bottom tabs ; with this replacement it's easier not miss locking it ; but to be sure this is a great replacement for those that need it at a fair price). It's the shipping cost I wasn't too thrilled with but that's a totally different issue.

Ithis was a replacement for my garmain of 10 yrs and it works great. Garmnin did not have in stock and glad i found here. Thank you.

So far it works well and the suction cup is working well. That was the problem with my last one, which came with the original GPS. That was my previous comment..I've had it for about a year now and the suction part no longer works. This is exactly what happened to my last one. Thus, I have decreased my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Since my Garmin GPS still works well, I will have to order another one.

I left my original in a rental like a dummy. O I went online to get it replaced and saw this one on Amazon. The price was right so I ordered it.To me, it seems just like the original. In fact, I think the suction cup connection is even better than the original. I live in a very hot climate and the original one would lose its grip and fall off after the windscreen got too hot. This one seems to stay in place....at least so far. For now, I am glad I got it.

unit will not clip onto my garmin,suction cup will not secure on to any surfacethis is the first time I have ever received a n item from Amazon that was Junk I have gotten other products for my garmin that was satisfactory and fit and functioned as advertised

Works perfectly. Just the right amount of tightness. Much better than window version.... Worth the price... Would definitely recommend. Easy install.
