Whitmor 3-Wire Shelving Unit, Metal Storage Shelves, Easy Assembly Home Organizer for Pantry, Kitchen, Garage, Plant

This shelving unit was slap-easy to put together, especially as this shelving employs a fairly common design.We have a pantry cabinet where we had a lot of unused space in the bottom, so we purchased this shelving unit to provide for evenly spaced shelves that take up the whole space. This is perfect for items like canned goods. Also useful is that the shelves have minor edges so cans don't slide off easily.It was nearly miraculous that the shelving fit perfectly into the space -- perhaps as if both my cabinet and this shelving unit had the same standard dimensions? But what made it work is that I pre-measured the space, and compared it to the dimensions reported for the shelving unit (which were very accurate), and when installing, all I had to do was move up a roll-out shelf one notch to accommodate this shelving unit. It looks fantastic, and like it naturally belongs in there!The instructions are very easy to follow, although one has to be careful with the plastic shelf adjusters to ensure they snap into place at a groove, and that as you lower the shelf onto the adjusters, you're careful that the shelf grips the adjuster tightly enough without damaging the adjusters. This is my way of saying that the plastic adjusters, while capable, are cheap plastic. But that doesn't mean they don't work -- just that you need to be careful. A saving grace is that a couple extra adjusters are supplied in case you crack/break one.All in all, this is definitely a 4 1/2 star purchase for me. I take the 1/2 point off for the cheap plastic adjusters.

Its a sturdy shelf, easily assembled. I got one a year ago, and a second a month ago. I have a large cupboard, and these have nearly doubled the storage. The welds and finish are good quality with no sharp edges. Excellent quality, light weight, sturdy.

This shelf was a little difficult to put together but not awful. The size is great for many places in a home and the 3 shelves makes it great for storing a lot. Really good buy.

I've got a number of these 14x15 Whitmor chrome shelves I've used for many years. I had two tall sets of shelves on either side of my dining room window, but they were hard to get to and usually cluttered up with stuff I never used. I decided to pick up two of these stacking shelves with baskets (half price through the Warehouse, so I'm not surprised one did not include the correct number of black shelf sleeves), hoping they would work to stabilize my two tall shelves and give me more room to put stuff I need to get to frequently but is always in the way. I moved it all to an eyesore kitchen wall that had a chest freezer there (that we moved), and it looks great and works fantastically. The two shelves and two baskets plus a top shelf from one of the side "stacks" allowed me to make a sturdy shelf for holding bulky appliances, dog food storage jars, a basket for potatoes and onions, and another for fruits. The top shelf from the other side was used to take the center stack up higher. I've got extra poles form the two basket sets that were not used for my current setup, but I know I'll be able to use them later for another shelving project using Whitmor parts. I just wish you could buy the individual shelves separately; that would allow for some very creative chrome shelf-making.I'll probably move the shelf in the center where you see the bananas hanging up into the top "cube" portion so I can hang my bananas over the other fruit. You don't see it in this shot, but I left a large open area above the floor in the middle where the self-feeding/self-watering dog bowls fit perfectly, and the extra space makes it possible to add more water or food without having to pull the feeders out.And kudos to Rita Grissett with Whitmor's customer service department for arranging to have a package of sleeves shipped to me (at no charge!) to cover the missing pieces, even when the item was not sold directly from Whitmor. I explained to her that I needed to be able to have this set up by Christmas and that, even though I knew I could return one for a new one from Amazon, I'd have to spend an hour disassembling the shelving and drive that one box up to UPS...not doable by Christmas. Rita really went the extra mile for me, as did the department that shipped the parts out.Whitmor makes quality products, and you will not be sorry buying them. You can put them together is so many different ways!

It was fairly easy to assemble though I really dislike the two-piece bracing items. They don't always close and/or keep closed. But, once assembled it is just perfect for my counter top. I live in a senior building and my small apartment has very little cupboards so I have three similar units like this one. Mostly they hold dishes and I bought some hooks to hang cups and utensils. Would recommend highly.

Perfect size for under utility room sink. Used to one side of cabinet because of pipe configuration. Seems sturdy but I am not really putting anything heavy on it just misc cleaning supplies.

Stuff, like my extra paper towel rolls, fit under it perfectly. So, adds to the useable space on the floor of my pantry very nicely. Super easy to put together.

The shelf was easy to assemble, not heavy but still sturdy. Shelves heights can be adjusted to accommodate taller items. Using it to keep extra pantry items organized. Definitely consider buying again

This is ok. The wire basket is very thin, the whole thing isn't as strong as the heavy chrome shelving.Its a bit meh. It does a job but a bit disappointed it wasn't more weighty.
