Fresh out of the box, I began sneezing. I noticed a couple of dark spots on the zippered cover and a muggy smell. My initial thoughts were that the material was thin and some of the filling was showing through. As far as the smell...well...it's been sitting in some warehouse. I figured that the smell would go away after a day or two. I began to remove the cover to attempt to wash it when I noticed buds...cotton buds...plenty of cotton buds. Ok, this may explain the smell or just the material of the covering itself. My only thought was that I was NOT about to have this MESS all over my floor to wash this cover. THEN have to fight to put the cover back on with this seemingly unprocessed cotton. The material of the cover is pretty thick so the spots were not from the filling showing through. I'm not sure as to WHAT the dark spots are, but I covered it to test its comfort. The mattress is comfortable and more comfortable if you fold it like a taco or double the mattress (I had to experiment lol)! Unfortunately, my household deals with Allergies and this mattress cannot stay. The mattress has been unboxed for about a week and it still smells. As much as I want to really dig through this cotton to at least touch the memory foam...it's not worth the mess. I also placed this mattress on an iron frame and that's a "No". The mattress is better on the floor. This mattress is a "YES" for those who can tolerate what I cannot.

You certainly get your bang for your buck with this mattress. My futon is one of those nicer wooden futons, and this mattress fit perfectly on it. It's the same color as my old one, but the futon is a little bit less thick. I notice that this mattress is lighter than my old one, and as a result it sometimes slides a little off the futon while I have it folded down in the "bed" state. But the lightweight aspect also makes it way easier to fold my futon up into the couch mode, which I'm really happy about. It's also an easy mattress to clean/vacuum.I would recommend this mattress to anyone that needs a replacement for their futon. :3

I would not use this alone as your futon mattress. It is an ok mattress. I use this as a topper to my futon mattress which is much sturdier just has some flat spots from being folded. Guests like it, a mattress topper would have done the same job. Next time think about the mattresses designed for floor sleep, same price point with more support.

Received this today and extremely dissatisfied!! If It's 4" I'll kiss their ***... It had decent reviews so that's why I ordered this one... I'll be buying another probably within 6 months I'm sure... It will just hv to do for now... Its very hard and extremely uncomfortable... Spend the extra money and get something better.

The burgundy color is gorgeous. Admittedly, the white stitching is a strange choice, but it does not make the mattress look unpleasant. This mattress is comfortable and fits well on the queen-sized frame. The only issue is that it does not have any ties or way to secure the mattress to the frame, so it slides down a bit when the frame is in the upright position. Ultimately, this is a great product that is aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Looks fluffier and thicker in the pics, but other than that it's pretty comfortable and fits perfectly on my Queen size futon frame. Some people complain about smell, but it's a natural cotton smell, nothing out of the ordinary. You can set it up in minutes but you'll need to let it sit for a couple of minutes to regain its shape as the product comes rolled up. Excellent quality and we're really happy with it.

I was really excited to receive this but once I set it up and sat down, I could feel the metal of the futon under it. I actually have the original mattress under this memory foam one and it looks stupid and isn't the most comfortable to sit on in the couch position. It is what it is.

Very good mattress for the money. Fits perfectly and pretty comfortable with no funny odor. My only problem, I was sent the wrong color, but the seller promptly acknowledged my email and sent me a free cover of proper color. Great customer service.
