These were just delivered yesterday, and if I had one complaint, it would be all the Styrofoam I had to dispose of!!! The chairs assembled easily, they feel sturdy and heavy (feels like quality), and the price is quite reasonable. I found these at an orange-label big box store, and they were asking nearly $40 more per chair than Amazon. We bought five, so Amazon saved us $200! They look fantastic with the dark decor of our Colorado farm, and they are far more comfortable than the chairs these are replacing. Overall, these were a great buy. The wife and I are very pleased.

These are well made, sturdy and definitely worth the money. Assembly was easy. The cushioned seats are comfortable. I will spray them with fabric protectant to preserve the beautiful light color.

We purchased 4 of these great stools on Amazon Prime Day for the great price of $77 each (dark gray, 24-inch seat height). All 4 stools arrived in 2 days, well packed, and in perfect condition. These stools are made of solid wood and metal construction with a thick plastic like distressed barnwood coating/stain over all of the wood parts. The dark gray seats are covered in a smooth, thick cloth. All of the assembly bolts are high quality, and all of the bolt holes line up perfectly. All 4 legs are nearly the same length (within a couple of millimeters), and the stool does not wobble if the legs are adjusted properly during assembly. Assembly is easy, even with just one person doing it. I had all 4 stools built in a little over an hour and a half (including unpacking them). All 17 of the assembly bolts are blister packed and labeled, along with a 4mm, 5/32" Allen Wrench. I did not use the Allen Wrench, and used a 4mm Allen socket and a 3/8" ratchet instead, in order to speed up the assembly process. When attaching the legs, be sure not to over-tighten the bolts, as this will definitely warp and/or crack the leg support blocks. There should still be a slight gap between the leg and support block when properly assembled. Also, make sure to keep ALL of the leg bolts loose until final assembly, or the metal foot ring will "seem" to be too large of a circumference for the 4 legs. Once everything is assembled, then go back and tighten all of the leg bolts. The back rest requires a large Phillips screwdriver to install the 5 attaching bolts. Also, make sure to check the tightness of the 5 pre-installed bolts on the rear top of the back rest, as I found a few of them to be slightly loose. Once assembled, the stools are all great looking, wobble-free, and they swivel smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend these stools. They look great, and seem very sturdy and durable, but only time will tell on the overall durability aspects. If anyone is looking for some great bar or counter height stools, then look no further than these excellent stools.

Open package outside. Styrofoam packing is cheap and flakes everywhere. Product fine and easy to assemble.

These counter stools are beautiful! I have been looking at stools for our new kitchen for months and finally decided on to purchase these. Because they were not Amazon Prime eligible, shipping was supposed to take 8-10 days but it was still free. Instead, the stools arrived in just three days! They were well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. After lots of research on these stools, I never found any documentation that stated that these were in fact 24" tall counter stools but based on the model number of the stools that I purchased (D542-124) and the others that are offered, I decided to make an educated guess and go for it and got it right. So, for others who are wondering, the last 2 digits "24" is the seat height. These stools look fantastic at my counter height island. They are heavy, very sturdy and comfortable! I was worried about how comfortable they would be since there weren't any other reviews online and our local Ashley store didn't have these in stock for me to try out first. The wood is a stained brown and is slightly distressed. There are areas of the wood that are still a little rough as though it wasn't completely sanded (but nothing too major) and that's what I wanted; nothing too sleek or polished. The metal ring around the bottom and the metal on the backs are also brown in color. I have oil rubbed bronze fixtures in the kitchen and they go very well with that. The leather seats are soft to the touch and I love the nail head detail. My kitchen is a combination of blacks and browns. The island cabinets are black and the perimeter cabinets are brown. While the kitchen has somewhat of a modern feel to it with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and oil rubbed bronze fixtures, I have natural hickory hardwoods and a great farmhouse table to add some traditional style back in. These stools definitely help bring that traditional feel over to the island. Putting them together was simple. After unpacking, it only took about 20 minutes to put together each stool (and that was with the help of my 6 year old). There are 17 screws in total to build the stools. THAT'S IT!!! The eight screws to attach the legs and the four screws to attach the metal ring must be tightened with an allen wrench (provided). The remaining five screws hold the back on to the stool and can be tightened with a Phillips screwdriver. I can't speak to how well these will hold up to use since I just received them and put them together this morning. I will try to remember to come back in a few months and update on how they are doing!

Nice, sturdy, and great quality overall—I love the gray tone. I purchased four stools for my island. Three were perfect, but one had an issue where the backrest screw holes didn’t line up, so it couldn’t be assembled properly. I quickly set up a return and reordered a replacement. One tip I’d definitely recommend: before fully unboxing, check that the screw holes align (seat and backrest). If they do, you’re good to go, if not, return it right away to save yourself time. Everything worked out in the end, but I would’ve been frustrated if the item had sold out. Thankfully, the replacement arrived quickly and was perfect. I’m really happy with my purchase! Amazons value was a better deal and saved about $60 per chair compared to buying from Ashley Furniture.

I’m appalled by the graveyard of defective items that are on here. How can you get away with this? First you advertise a product that’s beautiful and it looks great in the picture and then you pay money for it based on that, for something that doesn’t even go together because the parts don’t fit. It’s so frustrating to order something on here that says it’s gonna be here in two days and then it doesn’t even show up for three weeks and when it does show up it’s got parts missing all I can say is wow just wow WO W big regrets. Revise after following the directions and realizing that they should just go in the trash, I figured out that physics will get you further with this chair assembly. The trick is that it’s a big spring. You have to put one screw in then you have to put one leg on the foot rest Then you have to put the other opposite leg in and then you have to go in order around in a circle tightening the screws a little bit at a time in a circular motion that way it’s a spring very difficult assembly, but it is doable. If you understand physics, I wasn’t really signing up for all that but thank God I went to school and learned about it so that I could put these chairs together. ! This was definitely a lesson impatience.

Exceptional quality for the price! Really solid, and well built. I am very happy with my set of four stools. Seat is very comfortable. The first stool took me 2 hours to put together! Working with those screws in tight spaces was a chore. Second stool took 1 hour. Third stool took under an hour! Fourth stool was missing a washer! I was able to buy a pack of duplicate washers for the use of one washer. Other than that, everything was delivered in excellent shape. I would highly recommend this product!

I'm a 51 year old women ,I put theses stool up myself ,at first I thought the metal ring was wrong/default but then I loosen the legs and adjusted ring then tighten legs last and it worked ,I was frustrated for first stool due to that but the rest was easy , theses are gorgeous stools love them.

Great chairs…sturdy and look amazing in my new kitchen…very pleased.

It was relatively easy to put together as instructions were clear and hardware parts, etc. were well sorted and packaged. There was an issue with one leg being 1/8 inch shorter than the rest. A bit confusing as one might expect that all legs would be factory cut and inspected. This was overcome by using a second floor pad on the short leg, however, it would be nice to have the one leg replaced with one of the proper length. Delivery time was great - being ordered on a Wednesday evening with delivery promised for the Saturday. Package actually arrived on the Friday.

They arrived in five days which was in time for Christmas ...the first one took about an hour and a half ...the second one took less than an hour ...instructions were great and everything went together smoothly AND they look amazing !!! Just as described and look in the picture ...fit in my kitchen and are Super comfortable! Thank you!,
