Q: Can you use it in a room with the lights on?

Dim lights. It works fine in my living room, circa 150 square feet, with one 100-watt bulb. The image was barely visible in my Sunday school classroom with a ceiling full of flourescent lights on. I had to turn the lights off and let the room just be lit by light coming in the windows. So no, I don't recommend it for use in a brightly-lit room. This projector appears to be intended to watch movies with lights out or dim more than to make business/classroom presentations. It's usable if you can dim the lights or turn them off, but not ideal.

Q: What is it native resolution? is it 1080p native, or only 1080p compatible?

There are 3 different versions: Led 33/66/88 or something similar. I think only the 66/88 are native 1080p

Q: Does this projector come with a carrying case?

No, it doesn't. I wouldn't say it is all that portable either.
