I can see clearly now, the plain is gone! (sorry!)
After unsuccessfully searching for someone to do a similar job on a real rock I came across this. Also, many, many times more reasonable! I think it looks quite realistic; maybe a revealing bit shiny on the recessed edges leading to the flat surface. I decided on 4" numbers. As I can't leave well enough alone, I epoxied a piece of plywood the size of the white area to the back side of said white area to give the number screws a better attachment base, and also epoxied some "plastic" rope loops on the inside lower edge, left and right. After digging the trench to fit the perimeter of the rock, I added sand in in order to seat the edges nicely. I dug 2 small areas beside the rock where the 2 rope loops were sticking out from underneath, and inserted long lag screws (with large washers) in each loop and hammered them in at an angle like tent stakes. I don't plan on that puppy blowing away any time soon! Final step was filling dirt all around the edges and where the stakes are. For grins, I've planted some small clumping flowering plants around one corner. Here's hoping. My main motivation was that our neighborhood house numbers are on the far side of the garages, and not that easy to see, so UPS and FedEx, and friendly folks, you're welcome!

Quality rock, but you’ll need to anchor it somehow
Fabulous product. Decent size and sturdy. Would give 5 stars, but there is no built-in way to anchor the rock and it’s a bit pricey for a fake rock. We drilled metal anchor plates on either side to allow us to stake into the ground. While it’s sturdy, I don’t know that it’s heavy enough to withstand weather on its own. We siliconed 4” numbers to the front for our street address- looks nice. Happy we got it and even happier we scored an Amazon Warehouse deal for quite a bit cheaper...watch the price you could get one for at least $30 less.

Love love love
I absolutely love this rock so far (put it into landscaping a few weeks ago). We bought some lettering online & we are absolutely in love with the way it looks. We haven't had it long enough to see how it withstands the winter, but I can't say enough about the way it looks!Edit: It's now 2023, the rock looks exactly the same, held up in Ohio weather, & I love it now as much as I did then. This was such an amazing find. 💛

Worked great to cover a drain cleanout by our front door
Worked great to cover a drain cleanout by our front door, used 4-inch metal numbers, you can fit up to 6 of them in the rectangular space. I wish it had some better options for pinning it down, though its been unsecured on our turf for weeks and hasn't budged. You can stake it. I tried 1 glue and one epoxy to secure a hook to the inside and nothing would stick - just a not it anyone had any strange plans like me. I wanted to attach a weight inside instead of staking it down.

I really like this fake rock
I really like this fake rock.I don't know what others had intended for the face plate, but I used it for house numbers. A little stencil, a little drill drill and bam!A large number of these hollow fake rocks have locations for stakes. I knew from the photo this did not have those and it really hasn't been a problem. I've managed to pin down a small colony of smurfs and they definitely don't have the raw strength to move the fake rock even without the stakes.

Be aware of the problem with actually getting your street numbers on the rock.
The space to place the numbers had no pre drilled holes so we started drilling then realized it started cracking. Tried spray paint surface was to slick, paint dripped off. Used liquid nail, messy and had to tape one number at a time until the liquid nail dried.

I like it. Would be better if it had a built-in option to illuminate the numbers. As it is, we just shine one of those solar powered lights on it. Lining up your numbers is going to require some measuring. Was pretty easy to drill once we decided where the numbers were going to live. Went with the 4" numbers.
