Love this light!
I had dropped my Flexi-lead leash on cement and the light shattered. I received it in just one day. I walk my dog in the dark often and have used this light for years. It’s lightweight and easy to install and remove. So easy to use and the batteries last a long time.

Great lighting while waling the pooch
This really does the trick. I use it to light up dark areas while walking our dog and also to pick up after he makes his business. I don't know what I would do without this.

Life changer for night walks and potty breaks
I’ve gone through 3 of these and will always have one! The only reason I’ve had to buy multiple ones is because my dog has on more than one occasion seen a critter in the night that needed chasing and she literally yanked the leash out of my hand knocking the light off. Only had to replace them when I’ve lost them! When they get knocked off and I find them they have never been broken!!! So they’re very durable! I love that there’s an option to have the red light flash too! I always feel safe walking my girl at night with this! The white light is really bright and illuminates our path very well!

Great addition for any dog reel
Elephant in the room - the light is not super bright... it's plenty bright enough for what it's meant for. This is not intended to replace your tactical flashlight. It's meant to give you visibility to passing cars, and shine enough light on the ground that you won't trip on roots or rocks, and, wonderfully, give you a handy light to find the poop in the dark of night so you don't have to break out that tactical flashlight just to clean up after your dog.All that said, I've had it out in the pouring rain on long walks with no problems, and I've been using it about 20 minutes per day for several weeks on the same batteries - it takes AAA batteries, but rechargeable ones will work just fine. I'm sure I'll need to recharge them eventually, but the battery life is pretty darn good. The little adhesive velcro ring is easy to install, and if you want to swap this between different reels, or the left and right sides of one reel, finding some 3M adhesive velcro would not be a problem. Also, this will work with any reel that has a reasonably flat side, not just Flexi reels.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Switches WAY too easy to push, so it eats batteries.
Fit and finish is very nice. Not very bright but bright enough to find a Tootsie Roll in the grass, if you happen to drop one. Unfortunately, it immediately became clear that the switches were far too easy to push. A simple brush against my leg while using easily turns it on. Not a big deal but, if you don't notice that it's on, and you won't in daylight, you'll be replacing the batteries for the next use. I didn't even bother to replace them once. I used the velcro blank to mount a picatinny rail and pistol light. SO much better!

Too expensive
I love the flexi brand leash. I've tried several others. Even decided to buy a cheaper brand that came with the light and the bag holder. It was junk. So the flexi leash alone is worth buying for the extra money. But this light and bag holder is way to expensive for what you get. I reccomend looking for cheaper alternatives. You are just paying for a name on the flexi accessories. I would even reccomend going to the dollar store, getting a cheap little flashlight and velcroing it on to the leash. I just think for the money I spent on flexi accessories I could have found equal alternatives for a quarter of the price.

Handy and convenient to use but triggers far too easily
Flexi’s light is nice in that it easily sticks onto their leashes for simplified access, and the light itself is powerful enough to be visible in twilight hours and focused enough to spotlight your dog when walking. However, as nice as it is, the switch can be triggered far too easily. While a mild inconvenience when walking around at night and the waste-bag container thunks it off when moving a little too vigorously, it’s more of an issue when you pack it in a bag to use for later and find that it turned on for a few hours and the batteries are dead. Heck, sometimes just setting down the leash wrong triggers the light, and while it’s powerful enough to see at twilight, you have to actively pay attention to the lamp in broad daylight to see if it’s on.While not the world’s biggest caveat, the workaround—popping out the batteries when you’re not using it —significantly reduces the convenience of the device. Future revisions to this lamp should include a breaker switch on the inside to facilitate battery saving. Daytime? Pop off the light and switch off the breaker. Nighttime? Flip the breaker on, go outside and toggle it on and off at your leisure.

Works GREAT
Love these lights - they let me walk in the early morning and night more at ease.Buttons are sensitive so just make sure you don't accidentally turn it on and leave it when not in use.Would highly recommend this product with the flexi new classic dog leash!

Probably the worst designed dog leash light ever...
This light is really quite a joke. The light is double-faced taped to the leash case. Its a good size, very light, and is a very handy idea, but...The cord of the leash constantly ends up getting caught under the plastic cover and becomes wedged. Not a big deal, except the retractor doesn't work when this happens. The cord can't help but catch the two light switches and turning on the lights. There is a "horn" on each switch that makes it very easy for the user, and the leash cord, to turn the lights on.The white light is bright enough to be seen, but not really bright enough to find the poop on a dark night. Its just sad that Flexi went from an excellent product, without question, to something that is a shadow of its former self.
