After trying the peanut butter variety and then branching out to the Honey and Vanilla mix, my son wanted to keep exploring flavors. He picked the Honey Stinger Organic Chocolate Waffle this time, and it’s become another solid option in his rotation. The chocolate flavor gives him something a little different, and he’s been reaching for these regularly before practices. Taste The chocolate flavor is rich without being overly sweet, and it has that same soft, chewy texture Honey Stinger is known for. It’s a nice change of pace from the fruit and nut flavors he’s had before. As always, taste is the deciding factor and these definitely made the cut. Energy He’s a multi sport athlete, so having something that gives him steady, clean energy is important. These waffles deliver exactly that. They’re light enough to eat right before activity but still give him the boost he needs to get through long practices and meets. Durability and Grab n Go For being waffles, they hold up surprisingly well in a backpack or sports bag. They don’t crumble apart the way you might expect, which makes them a dependable grab and go option on busy days. Value At around $1.50 each, they’re a bit pricey, but the quality and convenience make them worth it especially since he actually eats them and they help keep him fueled. A necessary part of training and completing my first marathon. I used one of these every 3 miles for any run longer than 12 miles and I think it’s a huge part of the reason why I was able to complete my first marathon in less than 4 hours. I also use these when backpacking, they helped me to summit mt Whitney. They’re light and sugary, I would highly recommend washing them down with water while running and not eating them on a fully empty stomach, definitely have some before race day . Based on my research at the time of my marathon in October 2025 these were the best quality for price in regards to quantity of gels and amount of calories and caffeine per pack. These cookies supplement the gels well and fill your stomach, they taste great and pack well. I like the chocolate better than the standard but is a bit more heavy

I have been using Honey Stinger products for over 5 years, especially for running, trekking, and long outdoor days. Most recently I relied on the chocolate and peanut butter waffles during two different 7-day treks (about 6+ hours of walking each day), and they were fantastic. They are easy to digest, even on a tired stomach, and give a solid boost of energy. I like pairing the waffles with the chews when I want something lighter and easy to share. Together they provide a great balance between quick energy and a satisfying treat. A couple of things to be aware of: when the temperature drops, the waffles can get very hard. In normal conditions they can be a bit crumbly if not stored carefully. Neither issue is a dealbreaker, but worth knowing if you are packing them for the outdoors.

I am a fan of the Honey Stinger Waffles. Been consuming them for over a month now and its a perfect pre-run snack or casual snack in the day to cover me till the next meal. One problem I have with this product is how crumbly it is. Compared to the GU waffles, these tend to break into pieces before you even bite into it. Not that big of a deal but when you're on the run or trying to make every calorie count, crumbling pieces may cause a problem. Delicious product, non the less. Will be purchasing more in the future!

I absolutely hate the chalky taste of almost all high protein snacks so I was very pleasantly surprised with these waffles! The size is just perfect for a quick energy boost and to stave off any mid-afternoon cravings. Great for a breakfast on the go. I like honey, vanilla and chocolate flavors, but the chocolate is probably my favorite. Cost is comparable to high-protein bars but it isn't a chore to swallow. Slightly sticky, so if you have teeth concerns you may want to refrigerate just to harden them up a little.

I've been ordering the chocolate Honey Stingers from Amazon for almost a year. They taste great and seem to give me an energy boost. On my early orders, the flimsy Honey Stinger box was packaged inside an outer sturdy box and arrived intact. However, Amazon has packaged my last 2 orders in a soft envelope. The later orders arrived crushed, resulting in nothing but crumbs when I opened the individual waffle envelopes.

Pros: tastes good (almost like a s’more without the marshmallow), didn’t melt in my pocket on a hot day, kept its form even when I folded it in half (a few crumbs but not much), didn’t upset my stomach-actually made it feel better when it was already bothering me, definitely gave me a boost at the 90 minute mark on a longer run. Cons: too big for my little pocket in my running shorts (had to fold it over), tastes too good?? Haha I want to eat all of them but I’ll save them for tough stretches of longer runs. Overall definitely recommend these tiny delicious waffles as long run boosters.

Very tasty, these are great after a good ride, or when taking a break on a long adventure. They fit in your back jersey pocket nicely too!

I did not read reviews as I know this product is very good. However this is a seller issue. The waffles are expiring within 4 weeks, and unless I eat them all in that time, I know they will be horrible as I already had that experience before. On top of that, the box arrived opened. I am sure this seller buys about-to-expire product for close to nothing to make a buck. Be careful when paying less than market price...not a deal. I am sending them back and requesting full refund.
