Excellent cooling, and complete protection for your rapi
Probably the best no nonsense cooling solution for your raspberry pi compute modules, completely passive cooling that easily keeps up with the heat generated by the processor and other parts. Unlike some other solutions the entire board is enclosed neatly and professionally, whilst not blocking cabling access to the i/o breakout header, sd card slot, and standard ports. 2 part assembly with four screws, made from what seems to be cast aluminium and comes with an assortment of heat transfer pads which where easy to select and install. whole assembly can be done in about 5 mins flat, and is about as easy to do as its possible to be. At idle running temps reduced down to 10c above ambient from 20c above ambient when no cooling is used on a raspberry pi 3b, which I consider to be a pretty decent result all in. No overheating and thermal throttling has been experienced with this case installed. Certainly well worth considering, does the job well, robust and neatly made.

Actually impressed
I was sceptical about this just being heat-soaked after time but it really works. I used the thermal pads to cover the parts on the Pi and it's doing a great job. Running stress for ~10 minutes and it kept the pi temps very reasonable (upto 54C when the pi can operate higher than that). Running a compile on it for some connected ESPHome kit and the temps are sitting at 40-45C. It's solid, sturdy, looks great, easy to assemble and not overly expensive. Doesn't cause issue with any connections. Good bit of kit

Good for the price, could be sleeker
I am trying Windows 10 (perhaps 11) on the Pi4 and needed a better cooling solution than "none". In summary, for the price (fulfilled by AZ not China) is OK and the quality is OK. I do not like fans (noise, dust build-up, etc.) and Windows does not really have support for Pi fans (variable speed based on CPU temperature) + WiFi has no driver - thus I was not missing anything by using an all-metal enclosure. The quality is OK, very thin paint so don't bash it as it easily scratched. The screws need a bit of grease to assemble. You will need thermal grease if you're going to be use the copper shim (recommended) rather than thermal pad. SD card is a bit hard to insert/remove but then many cases are worse. In any case for Windows you want an external USB3 SSD thus not really an issue. But could be better. In use, it seems to be OK, getting warm (thus good transfer of heat) but still needs to be in a well-ventilated position. In any case it does work, even overclocking the Pi 4 to 2GHz is stable in Windows 10 Arm64. All in all, there are sleeker cases available (Flirc, Argon, etc.) but at almost 2x the cost most times. If you can get one of those, please do. Otherwise this is not bad for just over 10 quid. You can get lots of these direct from China for less but then you need to wait a few weeks. YMMV.

Substantial high quality case
I have a similar case to this one but this one seems chunkier and heavier which is ideal. I didnt want any fan on this one and I think this case will provide enough area and fins to get rid of the heat. Without being crazy about it, its hard to see what else anyone can do more to get rid of the heat without using a fan. The board fits in perfectly as do all of the connector holes. The two halves fit perfectly too with a near invisible join. It comes with a set of heat pads to connect the CPU & chips to the case. Personally I find these easy to fit but people seem to have trouble with them. You take off one side peel plastic then fit to chip then peel off the other side using tweezers. Dont try to do both before fitting. Not much else to say. Its has slots in the side for the ribbon cable access to IO pins or camera / DVI ports and even a couple of small holes to see the status LEDs. If I didnt need to have easy access to IO pins then I would buy this one again as a first choice. If you need easy access to IO pins then the other similar ones with the open IO area might be the better choice.

Full aluminium case that cools well
The Geekworm P173 case is an all aluminium, solid weighty simple case that offers a passive cooling design. It seems well made and of good quality. Assembly was easy, the smaller thermal pads were a bit fiddly for my fat fingers so I needed to use plastic tweezers though. I used the copper shim on the processor since I had some thermal paste on hand. Everything lines up well and the case goes together nicely with the bolts. With the RPi4B running at 2.1GHz the temperature was 61⁰C under a full load for 30 minutes, a reduction of 10⁰C compared to the old case with a fan I was using. As this case uses passive cooling there's no annoying fan noise unlike my old case. A few negatives. The case doesn't have rubber feet sadly, so it does slide around on the desk etc. Easy enough to put some on, but would of been nice if they were included. Probably due to the case being all aluminium it appears to reduce wireless performance a little, my bluetooth keyboard occasionally lags or the have the occasional key repeat which never happened with my old plastic case.

Well made and very effective
This dropped my temps down to 37c, a huge amount compared to the plastic case and the little ally heat sinks I had previously. (I think it was up near the high-40s/low 50s previously.) Pay attention to the assembly instructions - you'll need to follow a link on the box - as which thermal pad goes where isn't immediately obvious. All that said, it's a super sturdy case that is very effective at dropping temps and gives access to the various I/O.

Silent and cool
Fits perfectly, keeps the pi cool and allows silent operation, cut outs for accessories / expansion and included thermal pads, only thing i'd say is the included tool for the screws is a bit soft and easily strips itself so best to use your own tool for the screws. Product itself is sound though!

100 fois mieux qu'un ventilateur
Excellent refroidissement. Test sur Raspberry Pi 4B avec "stress-ng" : Avant de lancer, température idle à 35 °C, Après 5 minutes de stress-ng : ça ne dépasse pas les 40 °C. Je recommande, ça vaut largement mieux qu'un ventilateur et en plus sans bruit.

Super Gehäuse, das gut durchdacht ist.
Ersteinmal ein paar Erklärungen zu den angehängten Bildern. Ich werde den Raspi 4 nächsten Winter zum loggen und zur Statusanzeige am Pufferspeicher verwenden. Die Werte werden mit 3x DS18B20 Sensoren erfasst und zusätzlich die Außentemperatur mit einer Wetter API, sowie die CPU Temperatur des Raspi mittels Bordmitteln erfasst. Die erfassten Werte lasse ich mir via Apache2 Server auf einer PHP Seite ausgeben. Die Werte werden mit einer RRD Datenbank gespeichert und mit RRD Graph die Diagramme erzeugt. Zum Testen habe ich den Aufbau in meiner Schublade vorbereitet. Hierbei ist mir aufgefallen, dass man anhand der erfassten Werte ganz gut veranschaulichen kann, wie gut das Gehäuse funktioniert. Ohne Gehäuse habe ich die CPU Temperatur leider nicht erfasst. Um drei verschiedene Werte zu haben, habe ich den Sensor "Oben" (rote Linie) komplett auf dem Gehäuse aufliegen. Der Sensor Mitte liegt mit der Spitze am Gehäuse an. Der Sensor unten liegt mitten in der Schublade und erfasst somit die Umgebungstemperatur um das Gehäuse. Das Gehäuse wird relativ gleichmäßig warm und gibt somit die Wärme sehr gut über die gesamte Oberfläche ab. An den Kurven ist zu erkennen, dass das Gehäuse (rote Linie) logischerweise bei größeren Differenztemperaturen zwischen Umgebung (blaue Linie) und CPU (lila Linie) mehr Wärme abgeben kann (Bei ca. 52 °C CPU Temperatur hat das Gehäuse ca. 44 °C, bei ca. 40 °C hat das Gehäuse ca. 35 °C) Die Auslastung der CPU habe ich mittels BOINC (Bereitstellung von Rechenleistung für Forshungszwecke) erzeugt. Hierbei habe ich 3/4 Prozessorkerne des RPi 4 für 75% der Prozessorzeit voll ausgelastet. Zu den Lasten des Raspi bei den unterschiedlichen Temperaturen: - Bei den ca. 52 °C CPU liefen (Apache2 Server, BOINC 3 Prozessorkerne gleichzeitig, Gridcoin Cryptowallet) - Bei den ca. 47 °C CPU liefen (Apache2 Server, BOINC 2 Prozessorkerne gleichzeitig, Gridcoin Cryptowallet) - Bei den ca. 45 °C CPU liefen (Apache2 Server, BOINC 1 Prozessorkern, Gridcoin Cryptowallet) - Bei den ca. 38 °C CPU liefen (Apache2 Server, Gridcoin Cryptowallet) Der Raspi wird somit selbst bei einer relativ hohen Auslastung gut kühl gehalten und das Gehäuse erfüllt seinen Job sehr gut. Bei Zusammenbau des Gehäuses habe ich die mitgelieferten Kühlpads und das Kupferplättchen mit Arctic MX-4 Wärmeleitpaste für die CPU vewendet. Das Alu Gehäuse ist solide verarbeitet und macht einen wertigen Eindruck.

Tung och gedigen!
Väldigt stadig och tung! Innan hade jag RP i en plastlåda. Cpu blev ca 56°C varm. Efter bytet 34°C. Enda lilla nackdel är att det var ingen instruktion med. Jag fick kolla på annonsen på amazon. Men det var inga problem. Man får med extra termiska band. Bra! Kan rekommenderas.

Porządna obudowa
Produkt wygląda bardzo porządnie. Niestety muszę go odesłać ponieważ musiałbym odkleić moje poprzednie radiatory gdyż górna część obudowy styka się z chipami a są przyklejone tak mocno, że nie chcę ryzykować.
