Not Heavy Duty Construction Quality
The D-handle Broke while installing the handle. The wood is good quality but the metal D-Handle end is light gage and broke while I was installing it. For the price of a new shovel, I expected this handle to be very durable. it is not.

Appears to be sturdy, time will tell.
It didn't fit as well as I would have liked. The end that went into my spade was larger than what came out so the split at the back did not close on the wood as it did on the original handle. Hopefully it will not loosen when put to full use next summer.

This handle is put together ok . Materials weren’t as quality as had hoped for but will probably last a good while .

Use that older shovel again!
Finally found these and repairing old (30-50+ year old) shovels & spades. .Found these shovels and spades under shed and over hillsides discarded once handles broke or cracked.

A great scoop shovel handle replacement
I used this to replace an aluminum scoop shovel handle. Handle is new shovel quality with solid steel D grip.
