Far More Versatile!
I was hesitant as this particular brand was far more affordable than some of the other options. Surprisingly it looks and works great!I have applied and removed it from:Painted dry wallMirrorsAppliancesGlass bottlesDry Erase BoardsIn all instances it was easy to apply, easy to remove, and easy to reuse.I have also used it as a play mat for modeling chocolate and playdough - in both instances it was quick and easy to clean up. This is a great tool to have in your toddler busy box! Let them draw on it, use it as a place mat, use it as a play mat for messy play. Peel and move to any surface without damaging or leaving sticky residue behind.

it was easy to put on the table
wow, very impressed. I used this to cover my old, cheap folding table that I use for a make-shift desk. While my wife wanted me to buy a new (real) desk, I prefer my 5 foot fold out table because I only have a wireless mouse and keyboard on it. At any rate, it was easy to put on the table, peal and stick. Had to use duck tape to wrap the ends under the desk, but this worked great. I also tried the chalk board part, and it works well, too. They provide you with a sleeve of different colored chalks, so that's nice, and it arrived weeks earlier then the estimated arrival date, which surprised also me. It's funny seeing my TODO list literally on my desk. LOL

Great for my kitchen!
I rent, much to my chagrin. Since our kitchen is very meh, we decided to buy 4 packages of this and cover our cabinets. It was worth the money and so much more! This comes in rolls. On our first crack at this, there was some struggle, but we got it down pretty quickly. We cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and paper towels. The drying time was quick and it sufficiently prepped the cabinet fronts. We used an old credit card to smooth out any bubbles. This product feels more like vinyl than chalkboard. Once we had it up, we "seasoned" the chalkboard by rubbing the side of some chalk all over, then wiped it off/rubbed it in. We then finished it with a chalkboard marker. I've erased a few times, and it works great. My only "criticism" would be that one of the pieces of colored chalk was broken when it got here. I honestly forgot that it came with colored chalk. I will buy from this seller again. No real complaints!**UPDATE**It's been eights months, and it has stayed up perfectly! I used the leftover contact paper to cut out labels for the kitchen and for my classroom. I just bought another roll to cover a table for my classroom for my student teacher.I've discovered that it's much easier to work with if you fill a spray bottle with water and spray the contact paper and your surface before applying. Once I had the paper in place, I use a credit card or gift card to push all the bubbles/water out. I finish by cutting the edges with an exacto knife and wiping up the water with a paper towel. It covered a lot of the problems (dents and dings) in the table. Still love this product!

Chalk pens work better than regular chalk
Sticks to paint on wall if you try to remove it. Chalk pens work better than regular chalk. Still a good product and easy to frame on the wall.

Great concept, just didn't work for me.
I thought this would be a good alternative to painting my bedroom door with chalkboard paint. Before purchasing, I did thorough research and intended on having this adhere to a perfectly smooth door. Unfortunately, it just wouldn't stick. I then attempted to salvage the situation by sticking it on my wall; after less than five minutes, it peeled off. I do not recommend this unless you are going to use on glass surfaces. While the installation was short-lived, the chalk markers I used were extremely vibrant against the chalkboard and the product cleaned nicely back to its original black color. I ended up throwing this product away and will be investing in some chalkboard paint instead. Great concept, just didn't work for me.

Great as wallpaper, use with Liquid chalk!
I used this as Wallpaper in my IT room. It has a mate finish and is fairly easy to apply if you do so in small pieces. Picture attachedTips:When applying do not try to apply more that ~2ft at a time, otherwise your going to have hard time getting air bubbles out. Instead, cut about ~2 or smaller off, overlap if you are applying to an edge, and press from center to outer corners. Cut off excess after you have applied. If you intend to draw on this, do NOT use regular chalk. You will tear this up if you do so. Use Liquid chalk which is also sold on Amazon. It is easy to apply and clean up and will add life to this product.Pros:Easy to install if you follow the tipsCons:Very thin and easy to tear

Great for DIY and cabinet fronts!
Love this!!! I had bought a couple of brands now, and this brand is by far my favorite. It cuts very easily and the tape used to keep it rolled in the box comes off without loosing part of the contact paper. It is very forgiving and can easily restick. The grid on the back is smaller than other for better precision too. It does not have number measure markings on the back like other brands.Amazing for those chalkboard projects without the commitment or mess of the paint. Easy to remove and restick if you make a mistake too. The contact paper is very easy to apply and goes on smooth with very little work.My only complaints are with the accessories. All of the pieces of chalk that came with the paper were broken into multiple pieces, but that didn't really matter as they were very slick and didn't really mark on the paper. They were scratching it. I ended up using liquid chalk markers and my son's crayons sidewalk chalk.

Kid tested(2,4,9,12) Aunt Approved.
I read most of the reviews and decided to take a chance. I love this stuff. Easy to put on as long as you dont try and take the whole backing off to put on . My walls are a normal texture and semi gloss paint and had no issues reapplying and moving several times and it did not fall off wall. Like ANY chalk board or painted ones after a while you'll need to damp clean surface. Kids love it that they can sit and colour on the wall. I plan on buying more for my home and as gifts. And the chalk was inside roll. If you have a large area buy 2 or 3 it well worth the money and no messy paint and you can move it. For crafters the possibilities are endless.
