I found a very old recipe that called for baker's ammonia, which I could not find anywhere. Amazon, you came through again. Using baker's ammonia takes a bit to get used to, as there is an ammonia smell. The GOOD NEWS is the smell dissipates quickly. It acts as a leavening agent, which makes a crispy outside and chewy inside. Delicious.

I didn’t like this product at all, it came in a plastic bag, I thought it could come in a jar or something, and it look a little bit yellow.

For baking cookies

This leavening agent worked great for me and came in an airtight, sealed package with a zip top. It’s a large quantity of baking ammonia (about 1-1.5 cups) which is great because I can’t find this where I live.

I made little muffins that everyone loved. But boy this package stinks bad. Lol

I used it for making peppermint cookies. It is quite strong for the amount they asked for in the recipe.I will be using it again, just not the amount called for
