Viewmaster and binoculars in one!
A very unique Viewmaster that converts to kiddo binoculars pretty easily. We use it in the house as a Viewmaster, and take it outdoors to explore using the binoculars.Pros:Large and sturdy - perfect for toddlers to handle. Though (to my knowledge) we haven't had a dropping incident, I think it's sturdy enough to hold up to drops and bumps. That's amazing in today's age of cheaply made toys.Slide advancer is easy for a toddler to operate. Slides smoothly without much force needed. My grandson (3) loves the fact that he can turn a knob plus use it as binoculars to look out the windows and when we go outside to explore. It's really been a fun toy and I love the fact that it has multiple uses.Cons:The picture discs slide around in the holder, so I have to adjust the disc often as it's sitting between two pictures. This has happened with all of the discs I purchased, so I am certain it's the holder.

My daughter loves it
My daughter (age 2) always looks at things through her "binoculars" meaning her hands or paper towel tubing, so I decided to get this for her for Christmas and she loves it.It only comes with one movie reel thing, but thats ok for us, as I really only bought it for the actual binocular part. Though my husband liked looking at it and its 3D effect. :)You can't see terribly far, so if you are an adult and looking for a cheap way to spy on neighbors, this isn't your toy. ;) But for little kids, I think it's just fine. Besides, I think it would have confused my child if it was a big zoom, she wouldn't understand what she was looking at.Overall, it has held up to her abuse and I am satisfied, and being 5 dollars, its worth it.

2 toys in one, decent but overpriced
My son loves these, but he loves anything Toy Story. Clicker does not always fully progress the disc. Although the disc oddly comes upside down in packaging and the clicker works much more often with it inserted correctly. The "focuser" actually adjusts the spacing of the eye pieces on the inside, which is nice since they do not bend like other binoculars, but it's a bit awkward for young children to figure out proper spacing. A bit pricey for what you get but nice to have 2 toys in one.

bulky, scary image, poor focusing mechanism
First, the binoculars are pretty bulky. I bought it for travel and they took up too much space. Second, make sure your kids likes Toy Story images. My son perhaps is too young for this toy (~3 yrs old)...he was excited to view the images, but was turned off by one scary monster images. He did not even want to try to use binocular mode because of scary monster. I tried out binocular mode. Zoom is minimal ~4X. Eyepieces cannot be adjusted for different distance between the eyes hence it is difficult to see through the eyepieces with two eyes. I end up closing one eye and viewing with other eye. It was pretty cumbersome for me (I am biologist and use microscopes all the time) to focus on and view far away features, then I think for a child it may also be difficult. Next time, I will by simple one-feature good binoculars.

Great for kids 3+
We bought this for our almost 2 year old and little brother (almost 3 years old). Although our son loved viewing the pictures, he really didn't get the binocular concept yet. But its held up great against all the dragging and drops its had to endure. Now my little brother loves this toy! He is old enough to turn from view to binocular. He uses them to look at all kinds of things outside, he really loves playing with it.

Needs Improvement
I bought this Toy Story Viewmaster for my son. First, I was disappointed that the wheels displayed the same 7 slides over and over instead of having more scenes from the movie. There should have been 14 slides of pictures! The lens dial never worked so I couldn't adjust the eyepieces to narrow the view for his small eyes. Overall, I like the idea of converting this viewmaster to binoculars but not worth the price to purchase. My son who usually plays with toys for many hours per day, played with this a few minutes and hasn't look at it again.

Fun but could be better (for the price)
These seem durable, only came with one reel and it didn't include all the charecters. Also I thought they turned into actual binoculars but I don't see that as an option?

Don't bother with these.
I bought this for a 3 yr old who loves binoculars. Great idea but terrible execution. The trouble is that (1) the eye pieces are too far apart for a child and do not adjust and (2) even if do manage to look through them, the view is blurry. The view master reels were fun but the lever to advance the pictures only worked a few times then got stuck or moved to the half way spot. All in all, much too annoying. A simple view master was a big hit.
