Slitted is the way to go! I can clearly see the difference. I actually should rephrase that... What I can't see is the difference and that's exactly how much grout haze is left. It's significantly less using the slitted sponge.My method, is I wash in circles with the non-slitted sponge, then I go back over that area and diagonally wipe with the slitted one. Only haze left, is if I somehow missed a spot.I took me a few jobs to get used to this clean-up method of grouting. Now I smh, thinking about all the jobs I left with a light haze for the homeowner to wash off the next day, or had to go back to polish myself.That's not happening anymore!

Excellent grout system. Not only does it almost eliminate residual grout haze. It leaves a nice full grout joint. No matter how gentle you are/were with a typical yellow sponge, you can't get the same result. I would always leave with the grout joint just a hair lower than I would've liked. Just the nature of a regular sponge.I've run the business for 23 years now and my family started it before the turn of the century. So we/I have experience with every method of grouting from machine to manpower. This system strikes a nice balance. You'll always need a separate bucket with a regular sponge, if you care about every final detail, like inside corners or the top of tile baseboard, etc..

Great sponge, only way to grout! Only reason for 4 star and not 5 is due to the outdated picture. They send you a diffent looking sponge that you slide your handle on instead of using the two tabs. Didn't think it would work at first and thought Amazon screwed up again. And sent the wrong part. These sponges with the rest of the grout system is the only way to go.

I have used this sponge over 25 years. I've tried a few others but I will stick to this one since it always has worked great.

Love them they work great they fit my handle and not everybody sells them the price is a little higher than what I can get at a local store but I don't always get to that local store but they were great and grouting is much easier.
