Not a Chew Toy!
I don't understand the poor reviews. First, this is not a toy that you just hand to your dog to sit around and chew on while you go cook dinner or watch Netflix, in the hopes that your dog will be entertained while you do something else. That's not the intent of toy, and anyone leaving a bad review because their dog chewed it up in 15 minutes or an hour or whatever was likely not using the toy for its intended purpose. Second, you can't beat the price, for what this item is. Third, if used properly, there is no reason it shouldn't last awhile, even against the most aggressive chewers, because this is NOT a chew toy.My German Shepherd is an extremely destructive chewer, and it's hard to find toys that he won't or hasn't destroyed. I use this toy in our training exercises. Since my pup has a high prey drive, he loves to chase it when I toss it, so we use his high desire to chase, in order to work on his "leave it" command, his "stay" command until I release him to fetch the toy, and his "release" command once he brings the toy back to me. In addition, the toy help release some of his pent-up energy with some tug-o-war during play time. I believe if used in this manner, the toy will last some substantial time, and even when time to replace, less than $6 is not going to break the bank. Happy with it so far!

Durable & Leather. For Small-Medium Dogs
This is a great dog toy! My Pomeranian is a small guy at only 8lbs. but he sure knows how to chew and he does it as often as he can. I was throwing out toy after toy because he was tearing them to pieces after only a half hour or so. After putting my money in the garbage so many times, I decided to search for toys that would hold up to his destructive mouth. I found a lot that claimed they wouldn't fall apart but they were all more than I wanted to spend. I came across this toy and a rabbit shaped one just like this. I bought both months ago and both are still in tact after all this time. Sure the edges are a little frayed but other than that, no damage whatsoever! I'm not sure what dura fused means but that seemed promising to me when I was reading the description, also the fact that they're leather made them seem more durable to me. Both have squeakers inside and some sort of stuffing as well. I throw all of my dogs toys in the laundry or hand wash them once a week, except for these. When these toys get wet with my dogs saliva, they look like they're not meant to get wet. Even without washing, these seem fine. This toy is probably about 9" long or so if I had to guess. In my opinion, it'd be perfect for a medium sized dog. It's a tiny bit big for my little guy but he manages just fine! If you're looking for a durable toy that your small to medium dog can chew on constantly, look no further!

Worth the price many times over
Put me in the group that does not understand the bad reviews. This cost me less than $4, and I was not expecting an heirloom. But when I took it out of the box, our Bracken perked up. This clearly was something different. I threw it for him, and he raced around the room, never coming close enough to let me have it. He laid down 10 feet away with it and jumped up as soon as anyone moved. I did finally get him to close enough to take it, and I had his complete attention while I held it. When I throw it, he gets it and races around before coming close enough that I can get it.After a few hours, he has chewed the end open, but it has held his attention. We'll have to take the stuffing out but so what.In terms of dog enjoyment, this is a bargain already. He acts differently than with any other toy. I can tell it we shredded in a week, but I will get more than my money's worth. As long as you realize that dogs can chew through leather and don't have unrealistic expectations, you and your dog will love this. Now I need some of those other absurdly cheap ones.

Lasted 10 minutes. Don't recommend.
Chuck it et al is great. This lasted all but 10 minutes. Really disappointed but had a hunch. The other toys from this brand, e.g. The skunk and fox, which are not leather, work well. This this was torn open and guten faster than any other toy this power cheer has had.I do not recommend... Maybe for ultra supervised play and non chewers.Amazon gave us the money back so I appreciate that. Great customer service.

Our dog loves these.
We don't mind that our dog can tear this apart, because she likes playing and chewing on it even when she has pulled off the handle and opened it up. We just pull out the squeaker, the upper-most stuffing, and the thread she has loosened so that she isn't harmed. These last for months.I think this would be better designed, however, if the mfgr put the squeaker in the bottom rather than at the top of the toy so that when dogs do tear it open one can pull out the necessary stuffing and the dog can still squeak it.

When I saw this I thought it was the perfect in-between. Although it says its tough it doesn't ...
I have a 4 month old Doberman Pinscher who loves to chew everything. He has a lot of plush toys which he destroys in minutes and hard plastic toys that don't always hold his interest. When I saw this I thought it was the perfect in-between. Although it says its tough it doesn't last the way some other KONG Ballistic toys or Tuff Buddy toys do. Within minutes he had gotten a hole in the toy (which did NOT include a squeaker). What I like is that the materials are natural...not that fluffy plastic stuff in plush toys. So what I did was de-stuff the toy and let him have it. When the edges began to really fray I would cut them off....I bought this in the middle of January and now it the beginning of Feb and there is probably still about 4 inches left of the toy. I'm sure he's eaten some of the natural leather fibers but he only gets it as his special toy every so often if I need to keep him occupied. Have not noticed any bowel issues because of the toy. Overall if you're looking for something to hold your dog's interest then try this out with the suggestions of destuffing it and slowly trimming it down.

Wouldn’t recommend for large breed, heavy chewing puppies.
I have an Alaskan Malamute who is a HEAVY chewer. This is within 5 min of chewing. Teeth are razor sharp and this didn’t hold up. I was looking for something that was natural for him as he breaks down everything quickly. EVERYTHING IN HIS MOUTH... puppies!! Sadly this didn’t last for a week as I was really hoping for. He is expected to be 125lbs so maybe tgis would work for dogs who aren’t????

Not able to stand a bit.
When received it yesterday, it seem to be a very good product; however, as you can see from the photo, it is my third time I played tug it with my 7 months old lab & Golden mix. The 2nd photo is after 1 more tug game with first catch. 😡It is no recommended, it worst than those I bought from AliExpress with a lot cheaper price.

Came apart easily
I bought this for my french bulldog. Within one hour she had it torn apart. It's been about 5 weeks since she got it and there is about 1/3 of it left.

My Teething dog loves this
Hard to find a leather toy for a dog but my dog really enjoys this she’s teething and she chews it a lot

Fit for purpose
The dog likes it, which is important. It is durable. One change I would suggest is for a longer handle/rope. But in terms of being a good tug toy that DOES NOT damage teeth or gums it is an excellent option for a reasonable price.
