If you're a blood who likes gettin' blitzed on phat beats, if you're a cateye who likes to make da bomb noises, or if you're just someone who likes to compose contemporary music from the comfort of their bedroom, you couldn't do much better than this. As with nearly all the previous eJay offerings, the main aim of Hip Hop eJay 2, aside from its musical ambitions, is to make things as simple and foolproof as possible for the aspirant at-home DJ. To that end the software writers have devised an easy-to-use on-screen console, from which all the various knobs, gizmos, add-ons, dials, switches and facilities can be accessed. Using this 16-track Soundmixer you can call up any or all of the 3,500 Hip Hop and R&B samples stored on disk. And once you've opted for a particular musical template, you can then drag and drop other samples and grooves, staple on some funky percussion tracks, mix in your own samples via microphone, use the Effects Studio for some eccentric and/or exciting overlays, and generally get pretty jiggy wid it, stereophonically speaking. Other features allow you to generate some "scratch sounds", adjust the tempo of imported noises and conjure up some intriguing synth-percussion grooves.If there is a fault with the Hip Hop ejay 2, it's the inability to get really creative, to mix in, say, samples of jazz, rock, classical, acid-funk, North Country folk, or Cornish male voice choir. Oooh this game is sooooo fun!!
Hip Hop eJay, like all the other eJays, is so simple and easy to use, and you always get really professional sounding tunes even if it's your first go!It's got more vocals and lyrics than the dance/techno/rave eJays as it's hiphop and more RnB base tunes, and they all fit together to make a really good tune.

Hip Hop made simple
I may not be the best person to review this as I a new to music software and the eJay addition. For new starters like myself this is incredibly easy to use and I was able to knock up a half decent tune in 1 hour. There are plenty of samples for you to choose from and Base, Drums, Loops, Keys, Guitar and Voice are very good and have a wide selection. The only negative point is that the Rap samples I personally thought were very poor and sounded a little corny
