Finish is rubbing off
I wanted to like these cages. They are lightweight and hold bottles well but after only 4 rides the finish on the cages is rubbing off. As you can see in the pictures it's rubbing onto the bottles. While this isn't the worst thing, the black residue from the bottles gets on my hands which gets on anything I touch (handlebar tape, face, attire). I would not buy again or recommend for this reason.

Good inexpensive cages, but the paint comes off on your water bottles.
Like most people, I wanted some carbon-looking cages for my carbon road bike without having to spend hundreds of dollars to save a few grams. To that end, these work perfectly - I've done almost 4,000 miles with them and they still grip the bottles just fine.Unfortunately all of the paint on the inside of them has come off on my water bottles, and now my Camelback podium bottles (which are white-ish) are half black from where they've been inserted into these cages. I just picked up new bottles and will be replacing these cages with something else.Attached is what these cages did to my water bottles.

Coating wears off and creates a mess
I honestly don't know how this item has received such good reviews. I've had it for a few months and couldn't wait to get rid of it. The issue is that the black coating on the metal has been constantly wearing off due to friction against my water bottle, and it creates a nasty grey paste that constantly coats my water bottle and hands after every ride.Skip this one and buy something that doesn't wear so easily.

... a replacement for some cheapo cages that always felt like they were going to let my water bottles fly ...
I bought these as a replacement for some cheapo cages that always felt like they were going to let my water bottles fly randomly off my bike, flinging themselves in to traffic, and causing a massive 20 car pile-up. When I got a set of large 32 ounce bottles for long rides, my need for a firm hold on a heavy bottle became even more important. These cages are fantastic. They installed in seconds, using included screws. They look great, although I suppose looks are somewhat subjective. Most importantly, they hold my giant water bottles nice and tight. In fact, I have to jam the bottle in pretty hard to get it seated properly... but I see that as a plus, there's no way the bottle is going to slide out.Overall, these are a good value, well made and highly recommended. Would buy again.

Awesome
Super light. Arrived on time. I didn't use the bolts it came with, just used the ones on my Rockhopper. Fits my polar bottle just fine. I like the design a lot. The bottom hold is at the perfect place so that my bottle clears my frame. Im not a fan of logos on anything, so my only complaint is the IBERA logo on the side, but they gotta advertise somehow.( would've liked it more if the logo was on the inside).

It is definitely Aluminum!
The actual body might be just fine. I mean it looks aluminum... especially once I had to cut through it! The screws provided were of such dire quality that the entire product is damaged. After my initial installation, I wanted to relocate the cage... I am almost lucky that due to my needs I chose it to install it on the rear seat post extension, that I had purchased separately. The screws won't come off, and I had to cut the screw through the cage. It has also damaged part of my seat post extension, which was more expensive than this product's cost. Now the seat cage mount extension is also unusable! Most importantly, is the frustration that it cut through half of my day. If I had installed it on the carbon down tube, I am not sure how would I have handled this product.About the cage quality, it performs okay for the first few times. But then, due to its aluminum construction, the cage starts getting loose. In my case, I suffered from my Camelbak hydration bottles slipping out and stopping for them during the middle of my rides, and... disengaging from my tempos. Not a quality product!

Grips tight on MTB
I ride a DB Catch 2 mountain bike which has a single bottle mount on bottom of the downtube. It's the one thing about my bike that I dislike. If you look at my photo, you can see why--the downtube gets covered in mud whilst riding, and therefore any bottle I carry does too (the cage is visible in the photo). The only bottle I've found that works well is a CamelBak Podium Dirt Series (which has a cap). That aside, I was concerned about any bottle cage being able to secure my bottle adequately. Surprisingly, this one does. I don't ride super-aggressive, but I do a decent amount of downhill, rock gardens, etc. Now I'm not claiming that you'll never lose a bottle, but I've yet to lose one in the 500 miles I've owned this cage.

Reliable and Lightweight for the Money
Overall a great bottle cage. I own six of them across three bikes and they have been very dependable. The hold all types of bottles and do not lose grip. They look great and compliment the different colors of my bikes. I currently have (4) "Carbon" colored ones and (2) White ones, which are all very striking. The only downside, as other have mentioned, is that the internal paint on the cage does come off after repeated use. However, this only happens to the INTERNAL part of the cage and CANNOT be seen when bottles are in the cage. Overall, I don't find this to be an issue. Finally, the weight for the excellent: At $9 each, 38 grams (per my scale) is a great value. Not sure why someone would pay $70 to shave 10-12 grams off by purchasing a carbon cage. Is $120 different worth 20 total grams saving across 2 cages? Not in my opinion...

Good bottle cages
I had carbon cages before and the nib under the seat tube one broke, so my bottle was falling out when I rode over bumps. I heard similar stories from other riders so I opted for aluminium this time. They do look convincingly like carbon with the paint option I went for and they are simple, light, not overly branded and so, in accordance with the Velominati rules, they keep your bike looking photogenic which is important. And they do a perfectly good job of carrying standard bottles, not too tight and not too loose.

Pretty decent just not for me
I ride a mountain bike, I do the usual mbt trails and also do freestyle in the city which mainly consist of riding down stairs. It lasted 4 months before it was completely demolished. So it is pretty light weight so thats good. The frame was ok, maybe I needed a different bottle? I changed 3 bottles but they still rattled around and but never fell out.. What I noticed first was that if I had a bottle with more than 300ml, add the rattling around, the whole thing would come loose, not like falling off loose but I'd have to tighten the screws every few weeks because it just made the rattling worse. I've had some nastier falls that bent the frame slightly but I could easily bend it back into shape with my own hands, which is the price to play for the lightweight part I guess. This bottle holder met it's end when I was hit by a car (dont text and drive kids) from the side, my bike had to get plenty stuff replaced too but the bottle holder and bottle in it took the most damage, along with me seeing an explosion of stars from impact (wear a helmet kids, it saves your brains) there was an explosion of water as the holder frame was crushed and deformed from one side which in turn squeezed and exploded the hard plastic bottle. The holder met an unfortunate end, might have lasted longer but I was thinking of getting a sturdier one anyways, I think I can be a decent holder if you have the right bottle and dont get it mangled by texting drivers.

Great Fit!
I wasn't really sure on this item before purchasing it, reading the reviews showed me that it isn't a bad product at all, in fact it's great and does what a water bottle cage should do! anyone looking to buy a sturdy Aluminum water bottle cage, this is the right direction to look in, cheap, does the job and keeps me happy and hydrated when I'm on the go! forgot to mention the delivery was also fast too!

Looks nice and is non-obtrusive as you would expect
Totally fit for purpose; it's a bottle cage for a bike, that you looked for because you wanted it to hold a water bottle on a bike! Came with the bolts that you need to fit it. There is a certain amount of flexibility that I didn't expect, so it can accommodate various sized and shaped water bottles. Don't risk it with a pint glass though! Looks nice and is non-obtrusive as you would expect, however, I have doubts whether it would make you go that much faster. I would buy it again, but I can only ride one bike at a time.

strong and feels like it will last for ages
This water bottle holder is sleek, strong and feels like it will last for ages. It comes with its own set of screws to fix it to your bike (just bare in mind that you need a small allen key to tighten the screws. I was surprised that it easily fits my brita filter bottle that I take on long rides. The bottle fits in snugly in the holder and does not feel like it would pop out any time soon. For the price this is definitely worth the purchase, as compared to some store bought versions it is a lot cheaper but feels like a quality product.
