Shady Solution Grass Seed, Quality Garden Shade Drought Belvoir Seeds UK

My front lawn was covered in weeds. I got so fed up, I covered the whole thing in coffee grounds, thick cardboard and a thick layer of compost on top. This was in November. (Most people say to seed in spring, but I couldn't stand the weeds anymore so I took a chance.) After 6 weeks, everything was broken down into lush compost. I used a spreader to distribute these seeds, and watered them in. Even though it was winter, the grass started growing immediately. It was about 2 inches long within weeks. Regular watering, fertilising and now here we are in April, and I have a gorgeous vivid green lawn, which I have bordered with hebes. Looks great. I have reseeded the lawn w/ the same seeds just last week, to fill in any gaps and crowd out any potential weeds. Very happy with these seeds and will be using the same in my back yard in sha Allah.UPDATE JULY 2021The grass is indeed lovely, but what do you know, the weeds are back. Be warned that you will probably need to hire a weed treatment company if your area has a lot of weeds in the neighbours' lawns. That's what I've done, so let's see.

It has sort of grown and it is probably fine. But my shady spot is still looking a bit bare. Blame it on the freezing weather we have been having combined with the lack of sun.

I am satisfied with this grass. It appeared in 6 days! It is lush. I gave it a 4 out of 5 as I don't know if it will survive the shady area. I do not rake it in, I prepare the ground then spread the grass generously all over in every direction. Then I cover with a thin layer of soil and water. It works for me this way as I get more ground covered

We have a north facing garden and needed to sow some new grass. It took a while for this to sprout as we did it when the weather was very hot but it is now a nice patch of grass. I am happy with this purchase and you get an enormous amount of seed in the packet.

I planted the grass seed precisely according to the instruction using an evergreen seed spreader. It germintaed well within a couple of weeks and I have watered it religiously through the summer, after initially looking promising, a few months later I am slightly dissapointed, it is still very thin so I have tried some alternative brands on another lawn. I found sevaral alternative brands offering shade tolernat grass for less than half the price but you had to buy a minimum 5Kg.

Great seeds, lots in the bag delivered, I put them down a little late this year but they’ve still come up,

We chose this grass seed for an area of bare soil, underneath our large beech tree, which is in deep shade and doesn’t get direct rainfall. We are amazed at how fast this seed has grown, and how luscious and green it is. The pictures are two and a half weeks after it was sown, onto bare soil. The first signs of growth appeared in days! We were vigilant to water every day and it paid off. So happy with this purchase we have since ordered two more packs.
