Continous rattling/clicking noise
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. As others have said, these units have a continuous loud rattling/clicking type of noise. The best I can describe it, is imagine a close dryer with several garmets that all have large buttons. It's a continuous loud random clicking noise. I called customer support and they said that is "normal" sounds of water dripping from the condenser into the water pan. I do not believe that. It starts immediately, and my units are running in an extremely dry atmosphere. If there was that much water dripping into the pan, it would soon fill up and start flowing out into the room. There is NO drain hole in the drip pan outside, which is also potentially another problem.I have uploaded a video.I'm going to have to return all three units which I just bought. Heavy sigh, because of the difficulty of removing and reboxing/shipping these 45 pound units.

Nice quiet and easy to use
Nice and surprisingly quiet for an air conditioner. Its close to my bed so i worried i wouldn't be able to sleep with it on, but its not as loud as my old taped together fan i had in the window. I'm happy with it and ill let you know how my electric bill looks tthe next couple months. Instalation was relatively easy but i had help so i suggest a helper so you can secure it properly without worry of dropping it. Controls are easy to figure out. If my electric bill isnt too excessive i will definately recommend this unit

Great littlr unit fir the price.
Great unit for the price! It's the first window unit I've owned and it does a really good job of cooling off my space. Not as good as central air would but I can stand directly in front of it to cool off quickly. That being said this thing is louder then I expected and makes a variety of noises when running. Perhaps this is normal, I don't have anything to compare to. I sleep during the day so I'm used to sleeping through noise, this is not loud enough to block out the sound of the ever present construction nor loud enough to keep me awake. It was easy to install. Arrived fairly quickly and has worked great so far.

It's so cold in here!
So far I've had no issues with this unit. It was easy to install with the included instructions however I wish it had a better method of installation for a horizontally sliding window. The room I am cooling is a bit larger than is recommended for this unit however it hasn't had any issues keeping things cool in the 100+ weather we've had this summer.

This unit is NOT FOR CASEMENT windows.
I am on my second day of installing this thing in a casement window, and so I have yet to turn it on. This review is not about the performance of the a/c unit. This review is to WARN you that this unit is intended for installation in a double-hung or sash window and NOT FOR CASEMENT windows. I have had to manufacture a intricate bracket to hold the unit in place - this why I am on my second day of installation. Almost there.

Amazon selling 2012 models in 2015? Seems dishonest.
I purchased this unit July 1, 2015. We only need it a couple months out of the year here in Seattle. A couple weeks ago we turned it back on for the first time in months and it's dead. Since then I've been on four different calls with Frigidaire to inquire about warranty coverage. Today I was told this is actually a 2012 model and I have to fax Frigidaire my original receipt showing that I'm still within the original one-year from purchase warranty.

Couldn't be happier. We live in a 1016 square foot apartment
I did alot of research before making this purchase. Couldn't be happier. We live in a 1016 square foot apartment, it doesn't cool the back bedrooms much, but does make a difference. We just set a fan we already owned on the opposite side of the wall, in the hallway pointing to the rooms. We now have one coooool apartment.
