This is the most vile smelling product I have ever smelled and fish LOVE IT
DO NOT TEST SMELL THIS....Take the advice from a dumb a$$ like me. Of course, I had to remove the lid, stick the jar up to my nose and take a deep inhale....It burned my nose, nearly vomited, gagged for half an hour. My wife smelled it in the other room (after a few minutes the smell just migrated across the house) My dogs went crazy trying to find what stunk. The consistency of thick vaseline, and the smell.....how to describe the smell.... I guess put a hundred dead fish in a garbage can, set it out in the hot sun for about a week, then remove the lid. IT STINKS! I can't believe any living creature would be attracted to this, but for some reason, the BASS absolutely love it.It stays stuck on the lure for (seems to be forever). Even after removing the product the lure still stinks. Glad I have small plastic bags to keep lures in, but they really don't keep the stench out.

Wouldn't think of throwing a soft plastic without it.
Yes it is messy and yes it stinks but the bass love it. I don't know what it is, but you will get more bites with it than without it. Of course if using Berkley scented products this stuff is a waste but a slow moving non scented soft plastic or jig and trailer this is when it shines. I put some on the head of my jigs and on the body of the trailers. In the cold water periods I like to smear some on my suspending jerk baits and deep diving cranks. It does get me bites.

Smells yes, catches a lot of fish i think not
I can’t really say this has helped catch any fish but it sure has smelled up my truck and tackle box. When i tell you about stinking there’s nothing to describe how bad it smells.

This stuff stinks to hell!
I didn't notice any significant gain in catches but I bass fish a lot and maybe this would be better for catching catfish or using it with something on a bobber. I gave it a try and haven't had much luck with it.Results may vary in different areas. Good Luck and tight lines

Smelly...Yes, but worth it.
I have owned many different types of scent additive over the years and I could never really tell if they were helping or not. This stuff works and you don't need to re-apply it after a couple of casts.I actually came across this product watching bass fishing tips on Youtube. The angler said he was using crawfish scent and that it was made from crushed crawfish. It wasn't an ad for Smelly Jelly, he just tossed in a plug for this product because he liked it.The first thing you notice is how strong it smells. I used a small amount on the tip of my finger to coat the bait and line above it. I couldn't even get the smell off my hands afterward, it has the consistency of grease which keeps it on the bait for 20 to 30 casts maybe more. The second thing I noticed was the bass that I was catching. I had a finesse worm on the line and if I didn't set the hook immediately they would actually swallow the whole worm making it very difficult to get the hook out.I have two more containers on the way, I also want to try some of the other scents.

Very smelly
It smells horrible. But, it sticks to lures like crazy. Doesn't take much and stays stinky for many, many casts. Caught one bass, so far. Used it on my ultra-light rig, and caught a bunch of crappie. Seems to work, and looks like the jar will last a long time. Much better than the powerbait sauce.

STINKY
I have to keep this stuff double zip-lock bagged. It's the STINKIEST stuff I've ever smelled. Attracts fish though! Use gloves!
