Beautiful photos, great recipes...like a Barefoot Contessa cookbook!
Disclaimer: I am a Leaguer from Cincinnati. However, I have always been highly selective over cookbooks. I keep only 10-15 max at any time, and give away or donate those that I don't revisit regularly or utilize more than a handful of recipes out of. That said, the photographs in this League cookbook are AMAZING and the work of a handful of notable, award-winning, published regional photographers. The imagery is paired with historical anecdotes of JLC through the years. The photos also follow the "storyline" of this cookbook by providing tablescape imagery by the season and by the event-type so there are plenty of ideas provided for how to set a tablescape. The meals are divided into themes and some by seasons. However, you can pick and choose obviously as you wish. Several recipes have become new coveted favorites...and some we have yet to try. All are worthwhile, involved easy to find ingredients and nothing too overly stuffy or pricing either...I liken this cookbook to Ina Gartner's Barefoot Contessa Entertains/Entertaining book from the late 90s/early 2000's...just can't recall the actual title right now.

Fantastic for entertaining!
A beautifully designed and diverse collection of recipes. After tasting many of the selections at the recent Junior League of Cincinnati Tour of Kitchens, I couldn't believe how presentable, easy and delicious the recipes were. I'm planning to give a few as Christmas gifts this year!
